Acne Skin Care

How can I get healthy, acne free skin?

I have sensitive, somewhat oily skin, some open pores on my cheek, small pimples on my forehead and under my nose. I think I have small acne scars/marks under my nose too...and I use Neutrogena oil-free acne wash and moisturizer. Benzoyl Peroxide irrritates my skin. I eat healthy too...Is there anything I can buy or do that will cure this?

  1. Wash your face once a day and don't eat too much junk food.
  2. I have the same problem. I tried everything and I realize that it was a waste of money. So why don't you go to see a dermatologist and get right product for your type of skin. Believe me you will spend a little, but it worth every penny spent. That was what i did and I am glad i did.
  3. drink a lottttt of water everyday, literally 8 glasses a day and eat oranges and a spoonful of honey a day anything natural is great
  4. Your first step is to simply get the acne all cleared up. You don't wanna be using something to clear the acne, something to heal the scars, and something to give your skin radiance all at the same time because they can kind of work against each other ya know? Try different things to heal your acne, try proactiv if you haven't (worked wonders for some, didn't do shit for me), or if all else fails just go to the dermatologist (what I'm doing right now.) You can also try some mederma or scarzone acne for your acne scars, I'm finding more success with the scarzone acne than the mederma, but if you don't have many scars don't fret too much, you can always cover and conceal them easier than acne. Once your skin is clear, then you should focus on exfoliating a bunch. Aveeno has this awesome daily scrub that actually makes your skin brighten up, and it smells really good too. Also moisurize a TON, aveeno also has a redness reducing daily moisturizer that is so hydrating but doesn't make you break out, and it also smells great and has sunscreen which is great for preventing wrinkles and other sun damage. Also, try to stick to mineral foundations, you don't even have to go spend all the money on bare minerals, maybe try a cheaper drug store one, but just try to stay away from liquid foundations. They only clog your pores and don't look half as natural as mineral powder foundations do. I hope I have helped!!
  5. Honestly, the only way is to drink lots of water and keep a well balanced diet. Do you eat junk food alot? It may be hormones and puberty (trust me, I know. I had good skin until I turned 17, afterwards my skin just BROKE OUT, and since I had sensitive skin, I had heaps of scars -_- I didn't even pick my pimples. Anyway, besides that you could try taking acidophiles tablets, and other multi vitamin and mineral tablets. Try exercising too, it opens your pores, and really feels good too. And don't use that oil free wash! I've used it before, it was horrible and very harsh on your skin. Try garnier's deep clean cream wash, and neutrogena's OIL FREE ACNE SCRUB (that's pretty good) the garnier one is really good, you should get that. Besides all that, stay away from junk food, and like make yourself a mask every three four days. Use Egg white, honey, milk, yoghurt and flour and mix it so it's of thick consistency, smear it one (not too thick) and leave until it completely dries, then wash off. It's amazing, whitens, shrinks your pores, conditions your skin, heals and cleans. Hope that helped!
  6. face ur face every night before u go to sleep & maybe when u wake up i use clear & clear face wash ( thats cleans oil, dirt and makeup) and after i use clearasil face wash (it has like these beads in it) it worked for me after 3 or 4 days my acne was disapperaing a little!
  7. maybe its cause of your genes but yeah continue washing your face with that if those creme's dont work for you go to the doctors and they'll prescribe you some
  8. I will tell you my routine that was passed down to me through my grandmother and great grandmother. My great grandmother died at 94 with no wrinkles and beautiful skin. Every night as you get ready for bed feel the bathroom sink with steaming water and place a towel over your head. Hold your face over the steam for a few minutes. Then use an astringent to cleanse your face. The steam opens up your poors. Then splash your face with ice water. This closes your poors and locks them. Your acne will clear up within a short time. I recommend Avon clear skin acne products. They are just as good as the expensive department store brands but cheaper. These are what I used and I have Crystal clear skin.

  11. There are four main reasons that people get acne. They are: 1. Specific Bacteria Linked to Acne 2. Clogged Skin Pores 3. Excess Oil on the Skin (caused by hyperactive skin glands 4. Inflammation of the Skin The problem with many acne products, both over the counter and prescription, is that they focus on one of these 4 causes, but not all. To fully cure acne all of these causes need to be treated, and this can be done naturally, in a small amount of time, for a very low cost.
