Acne Skin Care

can i use lotion after applying acne free?

I use acne free which is basically a knock off of proactiv. It's been drying out my face, but it works so well I don't want to stop using it. My face burns a little when I apply the acne free. Would it be a bad idea to apply a non-comotogenic lotion to my face after applying the acne free? Would it make the burn worse?

  1. No. Dont put lotion on your face after using acne wash. Acne wash gets rid of dirt and oil, most lotions contain watter, and lots of oils. That is a defanite NO, only will spread bacteria and clog pores!
  2. yea i think u can ( =
  3. try getting a moisturizer. it might work.
  4. dont do that because normal lotions have tons of oil and will cause you to break out mary kay has an oil free hydrating gel that works really well and will make it not dry at all in like three days but it is a little expensive but totally worth it its 60 bucks hope i helped other wise use a facial lotion
  5. dont listen to qtderek just get some gentle cetaphil lotion wont clog your pores or anything
  6. Yes. First of all why are you using a proactiv knock off? If your looking to see changes in your skin, spend the extra couple of dollars and do it the right way. Proactiv is effective and worth the money. Secondly, yes you do not want to use any lotion even if it is non-comodogenic, To moisturize go to CVS and buy Vitamin E Geltabs, pop a little hole in one and put it over your face every morning after you wash it and before you use any makeup. It is natural, healthy, moisturizing, and it will not clog your pores.
  7. No! It will just clog your pores and the Acne Free won't work and it will sting so bad! And if the Acne Free drys the pimples and you put the lotion on it will moisturize and give you more zits and it will only give you oily skin.
  8. It shouldn't hurt your face. Some of these people weren't paying attention because you said non-comedogenic (meaning it doesn't contain ingredients that clog pores and cause breakouts). It would probably be better to use a moisturizer though because they are specially designed for the face (preferably one containing vitamin E).
  9. no it's bad to do that you'll mix the ingredients n it'll itch very much n then it''l turn out red...been there
  10. why don't you use ceptaphil instead of trying lotion.i'm using a acne medication that is very strong and dries my face out,so what i do is i put rub ceptaphil on my face then my medication.that way my face isn't dry from the medicine, just DO NOT USE LOTION! i did that once and the next day i looked like ms.puff off spongebob with alot of bumps on my face.
