What generic Birth Control is used to help control acne?
I am currently on Microgestin and cant tolerate the moods it puts me in. I am looking for another alternative. I used to take Estrostep, but my insurance doesnt accept it anymore.

- Demulen has a generic... My GYN but me on it years ago... Most BCP will help acne though.
- Ortho-Tricyclene advertises it's control of acne. I take the generic equivalent. It is called Tri-Sprintec. If it helps it says it is a norgestimate and ethinyl estadiol tablets-triphasic regimen : ) Hubby got a vasectomy and when I went off brith control I started breaking out again and I was 40! So after 2-3 years of battling it at the dermatologist I went back on birth control. I guess I could have saved him the trouble! Oh well! Best of luck to you!
- I don't know if it's generic..but my friend went to the dermatologist for her acne and he prescribed Yasmin..and it cleared her face up. I'm also on Yasmon and it keeps my face nice and clear. I was on orthotricyclen first and it made my face break out instead of clear it up..but really it just depends on your body.
