How to deal with acne skin? Any good treatment?

Using Differin prescribed by my doctor, expensive and useful to treat ance but can not prevent it. Any good medicine you have used which can prevent and treat acne? Also any good skin clinic can treat the scar caused by acne? and how much for such surgy?

7. ProActiv. Trust me, it works, I love it, I've used it since i heard about it, and i RARELY get a pimple. Try it, I grantee it will work!! Forget surgery, ProActiv is much more inexpensive.

9. yeah, don't use hot water on your face, just soap a cold water, maybe tough in the winter but it clears up a treat. Oh, and don't pick! maybe the puss filled ones but don't sqeeze them
10. preventing and treating acne are basically the same thing. if you use it every day, it should heal your acne and keep your skin clear......i dont get what you mean by preventing it, its kind of the same thing. ohhh you mean treating blackheads? tryy.....retin-a prescribed by dermatologists, it helps lessen pores and clean them, which is how acne forms (from pores)
11. i go to a dermatologist and he has helped my skin tremendously. i wish i would have went to see him long before i did. i use differin and take a pill called dynacin. i think the pill is supposed to decrease the amount of oil my face produces. i also wash my face and put moisturizer on twice a day. i definitely recommend going to a dermatologist if you can afford it.
12. Have you tried Proactive at all? I have always had minor acne for my whole life...not so bad that I saw a derm about it (too much money for a minor problem) but it has always bothered me. Proactive worked really well right from the beginning. I ran out and figured I would try the Walmart equivalent of Proactive with is called Acne Free...I really don't like it and it makes my skin hurt...dry yet oily. I also read that zinc is supposed to help...you can buy it at Walmart in tablet form and it is really inexpensive. I take this fairly regularly but probably not often enough as it makes me feel a little nauseous. If you haven't tried Proactive you should. I really like it and it cleared my skin up. The test with my skin has always been how long something will work. Anything can work for a few weeks but then I start breaking out again...I didn't with Proactive...and I need to start using it again. It is a relatively inexpensive option compared to the surgery and dermatoligist appointments that you are asking about and it probably wouldn't hurt to try.
13. i tried RoAccutane, not sure abt the spelling... i used to have big boils in my face, it cleared my skin amazingly and it even improved my skin texture... now after 5 yeras i do get small break outs from time to time but the big ones r gone forever i guess..

16. I agree with some of the others try Pro Active (differin didn't do anything for me) And off the Bad carbs and/or refined sugars. More studies are coming out saying it's not really a certain item that gives you pimples(like chocolate) but more like the way things are actually broke down in your system that doesn't help !
17. I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem. 2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? 18. I have suffered acne so much as many of you have had. I had tried everything such as pills, crème, lotion, those are made by brand name companies, but I was so stressed because they didn’t work. One day, I knew aloe is good to treating acne, and one of my Korean friends told me of a product called Aloe Enne from Namyang Aloe. I tried it several weeks, and I am so pleased about the result.
