Acne Skin Care

Skin-Care : Acne?

Hi, i've read somewhere that applying sudocrem to an acne infected area gets rid of them. Is this true? If it is how, when and how much should i use and how do i apply it?

  1. Well I wouldn't put it on acne as its more for nappy rash and is very white and greasy you would be better buying acne gels or creams but not sudocrem that's for sure!
  2. The best thing is a cream called Neo-Medrol but I doubt you can get it over the counter but you could try the internet. Just dab a very small amount on each spot and its gone within days!
  3. Theres loads of myths like that. Your best bet is to go see your doctor. I started getting spots at 13 and it got worse and worse. I had to keep going back to the doctor because nothing seemed to work for me. Eventually they referred me to a dermatologist who put me on some really strong stuff and for 3years now Ive had completely clear skin. Anyway the best advice i can give you is go see your doctor and be persistant until you get what you want :)
  4. try toothpaste... it works in a couple of hours and dries up the spots tso they come of when you wipe your face!! good luck
  5. I agree with Outspoken. I would not put sudo cream or any other non-acne cream on my face before consulting a doctor! The BEST way to kill acne is cleanliness. Acne builds up because your face produces natural skin oils. When too much of this skin oil is produced, your skin pores clog - creating ugly pimples. To avoid these pimples, keep your face clean! wash it at least twice a day - with a damp face towel, don't even worry about soap. Rinse it if possible in the shower, and showering once a day doesn't hurt. ALSO, make sure that any cloth that touches your face is clean; ex: pillowcases, towels, face towels, etc. because if they are not this will only make matters worse! If necessary, purchase an acne product: I have received good reviews about Clean and Clear Hope that helps! :D
  6. I know this isn't the answer your looking for but i put talcum powder on my forehead and nose (where i get spots) and it soaks up all the grease. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin but I use Clearasil ultra. I wipe my face with the deep pore cleaning pads to get rid of blackheads and excess grease and then I put this Clearasil ultra spot cream on. In a few days the spots are all gone (: + don't use sudocrem its to greasy.
  7. my wife always has flare up of spots and the only thing that seem to work for her is 3 days a week of going to the sunbed shop!!! for 12 mins she seems to have a completely clear complexion within 6-7 days
