Acne Skin Care

does Acne free work?

My acne isn't all that bad,I cover it all daily with concealer and foundation. I do not get cystic acne at all just small red bumps. Would Acne Free work for this?

  1. Acne Free isn't a very good product. You're better off using Pro Activ. It works really good because my brother uses it and he has a bad acne problem.
  2. it might but if it doenst then try neutrogena oil-free ance wash, thast what i use it and works like a charm good luck
  3. Try the Clear Skin Regimen by Acne.org, I set a goal of three months for myself last April and stuck with it, after a month my skin was completely clear, and since I set a goal farther away it was easier to achieve, as I didn't have my hopes up for a quick fix
  4. I have had mild acne for about 2 years now, and I have tried many topicals, trying to find a "cure." I have researched a lot about this skin condition, but couldn't find very many reliable sources, and almost all of them say the same thing. I do not think acne is "curable," and you have to cope with in adolescence, but there are steps that you can take to make your face better. Do not try harsh topical treatments, or ANY KIND OF PILLS!!! Do not consume pills, since most (or maybe all of them) have bad side effects. Accutane has horrible body side effects, and is a total killer to babies inside pregnant women, and once you quit taking accutane, acne comes back for sure. I had tried consuming nutrient suppliments to make my acne better, but it produced little effect. Also, I do not rely on any other active ingredients than salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. I had come across a very helpful site for an ultimate "prevention" to acne. www.acne.org It may initially sound like a very simple and "common" website, but it has a very powerful regimen that you may use to treat your acne. Very simple: - Wash your face with a GENTLE CLEANSER. - Apply your face with 2.5% BENZOYL PEROXIDE. Wash. - Apply your face with a GENTLE MOISTURIZER. This regimen works for almost everyone who TRIED it. Most of these people had previously tried everything on the market and still haven't been successful with their acne. Do not overlook this. I greatly thank the guy who has experimented with this regimen and written the site. The reason why this works is because your skin must not get dried or irritated. You might probably want to improve your acne, no matter how your skin turns out to be. That's not the case. If you dry or irritate your skin, your acne gets worse. That is why benzoyl peroxide (B.P.) products at 10% concentrations are really bad for your acne, because these guys irritate your skin EXTREMELY easily. The manufacturers put it on market only to "attract" consumers by flashing products with high B.P. concentrations and make profit. However, a 2.5% B.P. product is much better, since it produces much less dryness and irritation. B.P. gradually penetrates your pores and kills acne bacteria, and (as a bonus) your skin cannot produce resistance to this substance (unlike salicylic acid). The pore-penetrating and bacteria-killing properties of 2.5% B.P. is just as powerful as the 10% B.P., but much better for your skin and much more effective for acne (read the paragraph above). It is important that you cleanse your face with a cleanser before applying B.P. since it gets rid of a lot of dirt and oil from your face. Application of B.P. is much better done on clean skin. Moisturizing is a MUST, since it prevents irritation from the B.P. (I think it is good using it after applying just any other product that can cause skin drying and irritation). Make sure your moisturizer does not have any oil, since oil makes your acne worse. I use Loreal Hydra-Renewal. Make sure you start this regimen slowly. It is not good to start using benzoyl peroxide (if this is your first time or haven't used it for a long time) at a frequent rate. You must believe this regimen will work. Do not give up since it really works. READ THE WEBSITE FOR DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS. A major mistake of many people is that they give up too easily. But if you really want your acne to get better, I suggest that you trust this regimen, and follow it precisely. I hope this has been helpful, but you'd better read the information supplied at the site above. Dont forget to write positive feedback to the guy who made the site, hehehe. Good bye ^^ Edit: If you are really impatient about a big pimple, you may try to apply on it some toothpaste (paste, not gel). I do not know how effective this is, but I heard it works for some people. It may dry or irritate where you are applying, but maybe it is worth the sacrifice to get the big one off (do not overdo it, nor do it frequently). Once again, I do not know if it works, but it's worth a try.
