Proactiv, Murad, Acne Free...which one actually works???!!!?
i have pretty sensitive skin, and i have moderate acne on my forehead and on my nose. which acne treatment is actually worth using and has no side effects or percentages of making acne worse? i dont know anyone who has actually tried proactiv, but the commercials and website show great results, but ive also heard of people who have gotten 10 times worse acne than before.... i dont know anyone who has used Murad, but the adveritising shows results without using famous people (unlike Proactiv), and i havent heard of bad results... Acne Free in 3 days looks good too... i just dont know! HELP!!!

- Proactiv worked for me, but out of probably 6 friends who I've talked to, 2 or 3 of them had an allergic reaction and it made their face a little red & itchy for a couple days. ...and don't believe commericials, they lie because of course they want you to think they're great products.
- Dear sensitive acne skin, Proactiv is quite drying...so if you have sensitive skin...it might not work for you. With your sensitive skin you might not be able to find anything in shops that really work well without stripping all the oil from your skin. You should consult your dermatologist, because he/she will help in finding the best product for you acne. There are many effective products that don't use celebrities...this only means that you won't have to pay as much for the product...because someone has to pay the 1 million + most actors will receive to sponsor products. - proactive sucks! lol,i use this nutrogena cream,it comes ina orange tube its really good.. its called neutrogena rapid clear
- I use ProActive and was skepticle at first but it really does work it comes in 3 steps that are really easy and doesn't hurt your face.Renewing Cleanser gently exfoliates dead skin cells allowing benzoyl peroxide to penetrate poresRevitalizing Toner soothes and softens skin while removing pore-clogging impurities.Repairing Lotion hydrates skin while penetrating deep to stop acne-causing bacteria at the source. But I found a really interesting well thought of website that begs to differ. http://www.acne-review.com/acne.html?sitrackingid=381466&gclid=CMj_5bPS5IwCFR6AWAodsjaq7A it recomends a brand called Exposed and you can order it off there. I've never heard of exposed though so it may not be as good as they say. Good luck and know that we all know what your going through but there's a lot of good stuff out there you just have to find it. Hope I helped.
- I have HORRIBLE acne and I have tried everything too, proactiv never work for me, neither did Acnefree severe or regular acnefree, but i have used this this stuff called Pure Zone by Loriele(dont kno how 2 spell), it work pretty good...let me kno if u fing something else out.....
- AcneFree works great for me! I've been using it for over a year. Only thing is that my skin is dependent on it. I must wash my face in the morning and before I go to bed or I'll have a break out in the morning or following day. Acne Free is really good!!!
- proactiv dermatologists Rodan and Fields just came out with a new regime for acne called unblemish. now i tried proactiv and it didn't work but this stuff really did. it is pricy but has a guarantee and I've found it worth it. you can get it off their website... not the same as proactiv. good luck!
- I found that the best thing for my acne was a better moisturizer. Arbonne's Not so Basic Skincare line did amazing things for my skin, and they are known for being great for people with sensitive skin. Neutrogena is a little cheaper, and still works pretty well. It's all about getting it to balance. If you dry your skin out too much it tries to compensate by being more oily, and therefore it will break out more. So do the whole process - Cleanse, exfoiliate, tone, and moisturize -(then spot-treat) whichever line you do chose.
- neutrogena deep clean and oil free acne wash.
- I haven't used any of those products, but i've used countless others. I found that a change in diet made the difference for me in the long run. No dairy. You might try that for 3 weeks- be careful- dairy is in a lot of stuff.
- proactive but if you miss one day your zits POP
- My skin: fair, oily, acne-prone, easily sunburned. (Basically, everything that people hate). I'm twenty, and suffered from acne until quite recently. I've tried many products, but nothing consistently worked. Then a couple months ago I tried a new system from Kohl's department stores. It's called the Good Start kit, from their Good Skin line in the beauty department. It's $20 for a kit that will last you about three weeks. The system completely eliminated my moderate to cystic acne. The full size products may seem expensive, but they last a long time. I use the All Right Medicated Cleanser two to three times a day, the All Right Oil-Free Lotion every night, and the All Right Purifying Toner once a week (toners aren't necessary if you don't need to remove make-up). These products are turquoise and white. They cost $12, $17.50, and $12 respectively. The All Right Spot Treatment is $8.50 and very effective -- though if you use the whole system, you probably won't even need it. It's extremely important to exfoliate twice a week with this system. It might slightly dry your skin out, so you need to get rid of the dead skin cells that will clog your pores and make you break out. I use the Good Skin Microcrystal Skin Refinisher once or twice a week. It removes any flakes of dry skin I have on my face. Be very gentle with this product -- when rubbing circles on your face, don't grind it in. You could create small scratches that could get infected with bacteria. I know this sounds scary, but if you use it properly with lots of water, it works like a dream. The sales assistant in the beauty department should give you samples of the Microcrystal Skin Refinisher that would last a few months. Don't be afraid to ask for them -- they always have them available, and they know that $25 dollars is expensive to buy a scrub that you don't know if you even like. Kohl's often has sales on their different beauty lines -- anything from 10 to 20% off. That's when I buy the full-sized products. Kohl's has a good return policy. You can return beauty merchandise within ninety days if you have a bad reaction. Just buy the kit at first, in case the Good Skin system doesn't work for you. Then you're only out $20. Kohl's has a website that includes all their cosmetic and skincare products. It's www.kohls.com. As well as looking up products, you can actually buy them from that site. A good site for looking up reviews of cosmetic/skincare products is www.makeupalley.com. Basically, people review products they've tried and disliked/liked. You have to create an account with Makeupalley, but they will never sell your information to third parties and send you advertisements. Make sure to use a sunscreen on your face if you are out in the sun. This will prevent acne scars from forming/getting worse. Unfortunately, Kohl's sunscreens are greasy (I stay far away). The Good Skin All Right line is the only thing that has ever completely cleared my skin. Natural products used to work, but eventually they just didn't keep up. Just give it a try -- I really hope it works for you like it worked for me. Good luck. :)
