Panoxyl Acne Cream...?

I've been using this acne cream for 5 days now, the result: burnt and inflammed skin on my chin where i have applied. Is it normal to have your skin go severly red? Thanks in advance.

  1. I have acne and i get that. I get like these white skin bits where my skin has burnt and it's horrible! So i don't really try any acne creams or anything because most things that i'm prescribed from the doctor always seem to result in inflammatory. The best thing is just to let it pass but you need to get your skin into a regime that it starts to get used to. It re-grows it's skin after about 28 days so you should see most effects around that time. What i do every morning is boil a kettle of hot water and tip some into a bowl and put my face over it with a towel over my head, to keep all the warmth in, and the steam opens up the pours to get ready for the day. I repeat this at night but afterwards, i also, empty that water into the sink and add some salt with which i wash my face with a flannel. This helps prevent all the oil which leads to spots. Although, if you're sure your skin seems dry then leave the salt washing for a couple of days as it could make your skin go TOO dry. Apply toothpaste on your spots and leave over night. Although you won't see the effects straight away, they will start to reduce within a weak. P.S It's much better to use home remedies! So look for them on the net!
  2. It is not normal. Burned skin can scar. I would discontinue using it. Acne or blemish-prone skin is a remarkably common skin condition. While many adolescents may experience acne, this condition also can appear for the first time in adults in their 20s or 30s or even later in life. Generally, however, if you had acne as a teenager, you are more likely to have it again as an adult. Eighty to 100 percent of all teenagers have acne to some degree, and an increasing number of adult women also have some acne. Limit the number of layers ofcosmetics products they apply and to avoid any products containing oil. Excessive scrubbing or frequent cleansing will not control it, and any rough manipulation of the skin may further irritate and inflame the lesions or even lead to the formation of new acne lesions. Mary Kay offers a Gentle Cleanser, Oil Mattifier, Blemish Control Toners, a wonderful clarifying mask for blemish prone skin, Acne Treatment Gel and Beauty Clotters oil obsorbing tissues that will help. If you go to www.marykay.com/kaylexasmom you will find them under the skin care portion as well as information on the main page. 3. Hi, I would not recommend using acne commercial clearing products. They usually don't work and if they do, it's temporary. Rub icecubes over inflammed acne. The little-known secret to the root cause of acne (that lasts for more than 5 days) is dietary related. Is your diet dairy heavy? If so, eliminate all dairy products (even the healthy versions) and your acne will clear in less than a week for sure. I hope that helps :-)
  4. Do not use this product!! My doctor gave me this and i still have the red mark after 4 months! It completely blemished my skin! Use clearasil rapid action cream
