Acne Cream+Chlorine?

Im 16 and I swim twice a day and I have an acne problem. Ive been to dermatologists and they have perscriben me amny different creams. The problem is is that when im in season for highschool swimming, the chlorine in the water causes irritation when combined with acne creams. Benzoil-Peroxide is way too strong and caused itching and burning when im swimming. Ive also tried Tarozac with the same results. Now i have some other cream which doesnt help the acne. Then the dermatologist perscribed pills that fight acne, but I cant eat any dairy. I didnt buy them because dairy foods are a big part of my swimmer's diet and I really dont like taking pills. DOes anyone know of any creams, medicines, remidies, etc to help me?

  2. If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point. For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all. Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck. Oh, by the way the site that helped me is: http://www.acne-treatment-medicine-1.info http://www.medical-research-study-directory.info/ http://www.lasik-surgery-san-diego.info/ http://www.san-diego-dentist.us http://www.san-diego-plastic-surgery-cosmetic-surgery-doctors.us/ http://www.medical-research-study-directory.info/medical-research-study-directory/ http://legal-advice-library.info/blog http://www.medical-research-study-directory.info http://www.bail-bond-jail-directory.info http://www.brokerforyou.com/brokerforyou/ http://www.palermo-homes.com/ http://www.inkjet-cartridge-source.com/ http://www.hoodia-diets.info/
  3. yeah...i'm basically in the same boat. i'm also 16, have an acne problem, and swim 9 times a week (not including the weekly high school meets). personally, i have found that chlorine actually helps acne. but you have to make sure that you moisturize cuz chlorine totally also dries out your skin. i do a combination of the Neutrogena "Clear Pore" treatment at night before i go to bed (i use the "nighttime pore clarifying gel" and the "On-the-Spot acne treatment") then in the morning i wash it off with the Clean & Clear "morning burst facial cleanser." after that, i MOISTURIZE! if your skin gets too dried out, it will produce MORE acne!!! this will also happen if you wash it too much. my skin is now almost clear!!!!! so happy. i really do wish you the best of luck!!!
  4. Plenty of good advice here.
  5. I am still trying to fight acne at seventeen. Everything in my bathroom bought over-the-counter all have Benzoil-Peroxide as an active ingredient. Doen't have the cream on too thick. Thin layer no need to over do it. You are basically putting bleach on your face. (looking at one of my pillows that use to be blue that is now orange) Sometimes hot water and a wash cloth can calm the redness down, but there is no fast acting cure that can hppen overnight. Continue to wash your face even with 5$ store-brand acne cream as long as it contains Benzoil-Peroxide. In case you don't know this Stuff you must have: 1. daily face cream, 2. black-head scrubber 3. face-scrubbing pads 4. clear max strength invisible blemish treatment 5. deep-action cleaner (thicker than the daliy wash) (give you that tingling sensation like your face can breath) Buy brands All brands are all most exactly the same in chemicals even the content. Don't fail in to the marketing schemes of Proactive, it same content as the other stuff on the shelves of your drug store and it is extremely overpriced and has celebrities to promote it. CONCLUSION I would get off the med u are taking, if it has no effect and you can't have dairy. I know it is painful and resisting, but do not touch your face. It is itchy but don't pop zits, scratch dry skin, or even touch your face. Stick with the cremes you can't get over-the-counter from you doctor and wash daily with the drug store washes. Good luck!!!
