I have acne. What can I do to control it?And what's the best product to use?
I've had acne for a while, and it's become more severe recently,I've had breakouts on my chin and on my forehead. I've researched a bit on acne, but the books I looked in didn't really help. They said that fasting would help control acne, but I'm not sure. And I've tried different porducts but since I have really sensitive skin, it either irritates it and causes MORE acne or I try something else and it's not strong enough. What should I use?And what should I do?

- Go to proactiv.com and look at what they have to say. They can tell you causes of acne and some other important info. Try ordering the product too, it really works.
- Go to a dermatologist. They will start you in medicine. It might be a cream or antibiotic or both. Sometimes these medicines don't work and they will put you on accutane as a last resort. Accutane is the only thing that worked for me. So if you don't have a dermatologist go see one.
- i would try proactiv. also, try cucumbers that have lotion and aloe in or on them, it helps pizza face girl!!!
- I also used to have acne and about 3 months ago I have just tried a great new product called: Clearasil... There are lots of different acne product called Clearasil. I personally buy the wipes and the cream and they both come in a blue box. Just put some on about 5 times a week at night and then in 3 days, your acne will reduce ... Hope that helps
- I've been using Proactiv for a while, and it really works. Give that a try.
- I have tried Proactiv and I am an honest person . It works. The next best thing is AcneFree which is less than 10 bucks a bottle, available at most stores like fred meyers or walmart. I didn't believe AcneFree would work better than Proactiv, I didn't believe anything would ever work as good as Proactiv. However, IT DOES! But if you have money, order proactiv!
- dont waste your money on the expensive stuff...just use some natural home remedies. Buy an organic coconut oil. rub it on your face and let it stay there for a while. You can also rub some on yuur hair..makes your hair softer...shiner,,,healthier. After an hour...go take a shower.
- Hey! My year old daughter decided to use proactiv. She was suffering from mild teenage acne. This acne runs in our family. At 6 she started getting pimples and by 10 she began getting facials for her blackheads. Just this past school year times got hard and she decied to use proativ. In the first night she used it I was her face become brighter. In the first week when her cousins came out they even started to complement her on her skin because they saw such a diffrence. Now she is more confident because of it and the blackheads, pimples that were red and more like big zits went away. I would recomend this product. The only con is that it dose become a little drying and alot of water is need. (drinking alot of water) Hope this helps. - Isabel
- I read recently that lye soap is really good for acne. You just make a lather with it and let it dry on your face and rinse it off. Lye soap is also good for laundry stains, eczema/psoriasis, poison ivy/oak, repelling mosquitoes and chiggers, relieving pain/itching from sunburns, athlete's foot, bug bites, and flea and dander problems with pets. Since it helps with other skin problems, it should be all right with your sensitive skin, but I'm not entirely sure. Another option is breastmilk. It is sterile and has tons of antibodies in it to help with a number of ailments. I was actually researching it yesterday and was amazed by how much breastmilk can be used for. You can mix it with your regular facial cleanser or use it by itself for acne. I would imagine it'd be a good option for your sensitive skin since it doesn't have peroxide or alcohol or any other chemicals in it, plus as I mentioned it's sterile and does good to fight infection. It can be used on cuts, with eye/ear infections, bug bites, dry skin...tons of stuff. I listed a handful of the articles I was reading yesterday on breastmilk in case you're interested. I hope this helped.

- Get a 5% Benzoyl Peroxide gel solution, available at a chemist over the counter. Wash with a PH balanced soap like Dove cream soap twice a day. After this pat your face dry with a clean towel and wait around 5 minutes before liberally applying the Benzoyl Peroxide all over the areas you get acne. Once that completely dries use a PH balance moisturizer. Do this twice a day, you'll see results very quickly and this routine will work. At first your face might be a little redder than usual but this will go away as your skin gets used to the routine. I've tried everything there is and this is the only thing that works consistently as long as I stick to the routine. This combined with a good natural remedy is really all you'll ever need to combat acne forever. You can read about the best natural method available at: http://viralurl.com/7/acne-free
- Mix lemon juice, rose water and glycerin in equal quantities. Apply daily before retiring to bed. Eat a lot of green vegetables like spinach, cabbage, beans, peas, lettuce, etc. A salad and fruit should be taken daily. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
