Which is better the wave or Clean and clear acne advantage control kit?
I want to know which brand is better the neutrogena wave or clean and clear advantage acne control kit? And i want to know what u think my friend should continue to use. She's been using the Clean and Clear for months now and it helped clear her skin but some parts of her face were still a little red. Then, she stopped using the clean and clear and used the wave. She's been using it for about a month now and it's pretty good. It cleared up her skin and got a little of her skin color back! but then, she still has a few zits here and there (like on her forehead). And they both kind of made her skin clear at one point and now she's deciding which brand she should use...the clean and clear or the wave?? Or should she use both everyday? or just night...or day? Her skin doesn't really dry up and she has Asian skin. So if u could help her, please do! Just wondering what others would think she should use.

- This kind of a decision should be left up to your friend... She is the one with the skin issues and she knows what is working for her the best. From your post, to me, it seems that "the wave" (which i have never heard of) is working the best for her, so i would suggest that she continued to use it. But, everyone's skin acts different; what works for me may not work for you, etc. Also, if the problem seems to be really hard to get a handle on tell your friend to go to the dermatologist. it's nice that you are trying to help your friend!
- "Kits" tend to be expensive excuses to put multiple products in 1 box. MOST acne products are either Bexzoyl Peroxide based or Salicylic Acid based. Personally, I alternate between the two depending on what is going on with my skin. Benzoyl Peroxide is good for spot treatments since it can dry skin and from what you said, even the Salicylic Acid treatements were irritating her skin. The match that I have found is use Neutrogena 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment when my hormones are going nuts and Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer when my skin gets dry. (Again, using Benxoyl Peroxide as a spot tretment before bed) Both the Neutrogene and the Clean and Clear products are Salicylic Acid. Next time you go to Target or Walgreens take a half an hour and read the backs of ALL the boxes of acne products. You will see that 98% of all salicylic acid products are 2% salicylic acid and 100% of the Benxoyl Peroxide products are 10% benxoyl peroxide. EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST FILLER!! They take the same active ingredient and add fluff and scents and shiny boxes and charge you 10x more for one then for another even though they are THE EXACT SAME THING. PLEASE Don't take my word for it... READ THE BOXES! Also, next time you go to a book store or library, look up a book called "Don't go to the cosmetics counter without me". It explains how 90% of what you pay for a bath and beauty product is for the NAME and the BOX. The stuff inside is almost an after thought.
