Good acne subscriptions?
im 15 years old..my acne is that bad, but enough to feel self consious. I have tryed pro active but it didnt work great for me. My doctor has subscribed me to clindoxyl gel for the past like 2 years and it stopped working, i guess because im immuned to it now. Anyway i was wondering if anyone knows and good prescription acne medication. im going to make a doctors appointment and see if i could switch to a new one. Also, I am not interested in acutane because it is too expensive.

- Pro active is very, very good. If you can't afford Proactive, then go to wall green's and get Acne Free clear skin treatment. It works the same way Proactive does and it won't dry out your face, very gentle and you will love it. I got it for my son and it's wonderful!!
- At your age, your body is going thru changes. You did not indicate your gender but you need to set yourself up with a good overall dermal plan. Try Clinique's three step program. You get skin typed and it starts you off with the soap, emulsifier(removes dead skin cells that clog your pores) and a moisturizer lotion. I'm a guy and after shaving, my face would just get blasted...tried using my girlfriend's stuff but it just burned like heck but once they skin typed me for their men's products, I was okay....try it...beats prescriptions, that burns even more.
- proactive and clindoxyl are made of benzoyl peroxide, I'm using benzoyl peroxide gel 10%, and it works great. that substance was named the best fot treating acne since 2004 because it kill inflamatory bacterias(benzoyl peroxide is the only toppic medicine that kills inflamatory bacterias), it cleans pores and it moderates the grass in your face, so i think that clindoxil has 5% of benzoyl peroxide, so you can change to 10% benzoyl peroxide. i buy it at walgreens and it is not expensive. is 3.50 dollars, so its cheap. i hope you understand because as you noticed i have problems with english
- Dont Use anymore chemicals on your face.Try this easy, effective method uses one kitchen-cupboard herbal ingredient, and calls upon the power of a warm compress to open pores and allow the healing benefits of the herb to work on blemished skin. The compress method is more comforting and quicker to use than a facial steam, but is every bit as effective. SIMPLE SOLUTION: Here are the simple how-to instructions to help clear troubled skin: INGREDIENTS 1 quart water 1/2 to 1 cup dried thyme leaves (for a VERY strong infusion) 1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove it from the heat and add the thyme. Cover the pan and steep the mixture for 20 minutes, then strain out the herbs and discard them. Let the infusion cool to warm. (You should be able to put your hand in the infusion and keep it there for several minutes without discomfort.) 2. Soak a clean washcloth with the infusion and wring the excess from it. With your eyes closed, place the washcloth on your face for 15 minutes. Remove the washcloth from your face and apply an astringent. Good luck Peace GG
- You are getting a lot of mixed and wrong information here. I work with dermatologists, medi spa, and plastic surgeons all over the Midwest. First moisturizers do NOT create more acne. Oil does. In fact really dry skin may cause acne break out because the dry skin clogs healthy pores. That means you have to find a great moisturizer that doesn't have bad poor clogging oil. Some oils like lavender, geranium, palm and avocado actually help calm the inflammation from the acne. You also need a cleanser that gently exfoliates the skin. Caution! Do not think grains of sand or apricot scrub. Do NOT use Proactive, or any wash/treatment that has an unstable form of benzoyl peroxide. You must find a wash/treatment with stable and time released form of benzoyl peroxide for it to be effective and not burn the skin. This may be the problem you are having with your clindoxyl gel also Also there are products that you can take internally that can kill the bacteria that cause acne. These are not prescription based products, so you do not need doc and they do not have the harmful and unpleasant side effects that other prescriptions for acne have. You do not need to go on birth control yet, as this too can have unpleasant side effects. If you would like a few product recommendations I would be happy to help you, but need just a little more info. What are you doing right now for your acne both internal and external? What treatment creams have you already tried? How old are you now? How long have you had acne? Do others in your family have or did they have acne? What is your budget for treatments?
