Since I use acne medication - it drys my skin - will my skin age quicker with wrinkles?
I will make this question easy to understand. please, dont advertise acne medication, that is NOT what im asking. I use acne medicine that drys out my skin. I use moisterizer in the morning. but i DONT at night; so it can really work on my acne. Now.. when I pass this stage of acne. And my skin goes back to normal. Will it be too late? Will my skin be peremantly damaged, and will I gain wrinkles and age quicker?

- Well I think there is no reason why you should not moisterize at night too. Don't take any chances with hydrating the skin. Your acne cream will work just fine with a moisterizer too. The two biggest causes of wrinkles are hydration and sun damage. So hydrate and put on an SPF.
- Dry skin can age faster, but if you take care of your skin and get facials you will not have a problem. Do not over do the acne meds. It can cause more problems if they are too strong. Get a treatment called quick zap from a day spa it is not so aggressive to your skin. It helps stop acne and keeps your skin looking young. If you are under 20 I think you will be fine as long as you take care of yourself. I have super dry skin and I get facials once a month to help out!! Once you are over 20 the right skin care product will stop acne and keep your skin looking healthy. So do not worry or you will get more wrinkles from that!!! DO NOT USE PRODUCTS THEY SELL ON TV THEY JUST COVER THE PROBLEMS AND MAKE YOUR SKIN ADDITIVE TO THEM SO YOU CAN'T STOP USING THEM!! JUST A FYI
- Don't put it all over your face. Only place a small dab on pimples only. And if you use toner as well... that will make it even worse. I would use a nightcream when you go to bed. And a light SPF lotion in the day. Yes, you will get wrinkles from severly dry skin... especially if it's been dry for a long time.
- Acne products use a drying agent to shrink the blemish, but it shouldn't affect your entire face. Read the product instructions and use to treat the spot not the entire face. A light hydrating lotion should be applied daily.
- get some scar serum and put it on your face at night, it fades wrinkles because of how much moisture is in it and it doesnt cause acne as long as your face is clean underneath it
