Has anyones child ever had allergic reactions to these medicines???

My son is 6 weeks and has reflex and colic they put him on Axid and levicin (Hyoscyamine) drops approximately 2 weeks ago he started getting little tiny red bumps all over his face and head I have had him to the peditrician and they said that it is baby acne. Now it does not look like it to me it almost looks like diaper rash on his face. This is my second child but my first never had anything like this happen to her and she never had to be on any medications. Anyone had simiular expirence? Thanks.

1. If the spots have changed since the time your doctor saw them, you may very well need to have him re-evaluated to be sure it's not an allergic reaction or something that needs to be treated. It doesn't sound like a traditional allergic reaction, but that doesn't mean it isn't. I hope this is helpful!
2. It could be, does he have these red bumps anywhere else?? My daughter was put on penicillin and got hives everywhere, and then my niece broke out in what looked like a rash but did not bother her at all. I would get it checked out, ask your ped for an appointment, it could be nothing but you never know.
3. Anyone can be allergic to anything. My son's food allergies did that to him. Ask your doctor if you can discontinue the meds to see if the spots go away, then start one med to see if they come back, then the other med to see which one (if either) is causing it. My baby had reflux and I know how awful it would be to take something away from him that makes him feel better, but it would probably just take a day or so for the spots to fade. (Maybe longer, but probably not.) Remember that allergic reactions can change over time and if he IS allergic, he might eventually have a more serious reaction.
4. my daughter was on levsin and had no reaction but she got baby acne a lot but i know it wasn't the medication because when i took her off of it she continued to get the acne until she got a little older and grew out of it. have you tried a soy formula or one for cows milk allergy ? the doctors kept saying my daughter had colic and the night i switched to soy formula she stopped having stomach cramps and started sleeping and the levsin wasn't needed anymore. i had to suggest it to my doctor because all she wanted to do was give her medicine
