Acne treatment?
What is a good treatment to unclog pores and fight acne? (my pores are really really clogged)

- To start off with, never use harsh products on acne, it will only irritate it more. My suggestion is to use more gentler products. I’ve used stuff from proactive, acnefree, medicated cleansers, expensive department store stuff like sheseido, differin, duac, etc. none of them worked very well for me. Most of them made my skin worse. Once a week, you should use a facial masque that will suck out all of the oils and impurities from your skin. The one that I use is called "Queen Helene Mint Julep" and let me tell you, this stuff is amazing! I buy it at Sally's Beauty Supply for about 5 dollars for a huge tub of it. This stuff lasts me about 1 1/2 years. Every morning I wash my face with a clarifying cleanser that I purchase at www.ifeelpretty.com This cleanser is VERY gentle, and works amazingly, I love it. For on the spot treatment, (AKA, for a pimple that you need to get rid of FAST, use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque on your pimple overnight, then wash off in the morning, and it will be reduced tremendosly The last and most important thing, is to MOISTURIZE! This is a personal preference of coarse, but for me, I use Olay moisturizers, they are cheap and work. Hope this helps!
- I've heard that Palmolive dish liquid works since you get acne because your pores are clogged due to oil in your skin.
- I like Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. It's cheap and it works just as well as the more expensive brands.
- The best acne treatment is to use Proactive. My kids used it and it works great.
- Use a facewash or a cleanser. I recommend Neutrogena. Get one that is oil free and has Beta Hydroxide and Salicylic Acid in its ingredients as they help with pimples. Try not to use too much makeup. Especially foundation and concealer. Good luck.
- well to unclog pores u definitly need toner. after washing ur face, use an alcohol free toner. i suggest that neutrogena alcohol free toner. it will unclog pores and refresh ur skin.
- try proactive solution

- buy this facial soap calleed cuticura it really helped me with my balance of my skin and make sure you purchase the one with moisturizer. And the benefit aboutthis product is that it is much cheaper than plently other facial products and it works you will see it work after the first time.
- A lot of people will tell you ProActive is the best thing to use. I found that the face mask completely dried up my face, and it was extremely painful. If you have somewhat of a bad acne problem, go to your doctor. I have tried many different face medicines for my acne. I have tried Duac, Benzaclin (sp?), and Retin-A-Micro. I also took a pill, I think it was called minocycline? They all worked well.
- you need to see a dermatologist but washing your face twice daily with mild soap and warm water, using over the counter medicine like benzylproxide or topical antibiotics helps certainly. make sure to sleep around 8 hours a day.
- Clinique has an amazing line of basic skin care and actually are coming out with a brand new acne line in July....You should try it. I trust my Clinique consultant 100%. She is truly amazing and trustworthy...A lot of them still work off of sales but Clinique is a great company that insists on their employees finding the best products for their client. I think you should try going to a counter...like Dillards, Macy's...Nordstroms....The best counter honestly I've ever been to was in Amarillo Tx. Dillards...they were really helpful for my counter away from home...
- I would try Mary Kay's Acne Treatment Gel. "It's clinically proven to dry and clear acne blemishes, allowing skin to heal. An over-the-counter drug product." Here's the site for the Mary Kay Acne Treatment Gel: http://www.marykay.com/angelatrent/skincare/specificneeds/10011300/ You should also try Mary Kay's Blemish Control Toner 3. "Acne medication for the management of mild or occasional acne. It helps reduce the number of blackheads and acne pimples. Also helps prevent new acne pimples. Leaves skin free of excess oil." Here's the site for Mary Kay's Blemish Control Toner 3: http://www.marykay.com/angelatrent/skincare/specificneeds/10106500/ I would give both those products a shot. Mary Kay products are very high quality! I hope this info. helped you out! Take care and good luck!
