Anyone, whose beat acne, I really need some advice...?
I'm in my teen years right now, and my acne is getting the better of me. I've had it since grade 7. At first I didn't care. But, now, in high school (grade 11), its really limiting me. I"m more to myself, self-esteem is a rollercoaster ride daily, and I can't ask the girl I really like out. I know that even though the over the counter drugs and medication work, only for short term, and the acne will rebound after. So, anyone got any tips or suggestions, i'm willing to consider everything, except Accutane, Proactive, or anything in this area. THnx

- Exercise....build up a sweat.
- you have to try ProActiv... it really does work.
- You'd think that a junior would have a somewhat developed grammar capability ... If you're not willing to try Proactive then you're dumb
- Well, if you're man enough, go to your local Clinique [its a makeup counter in the mall]. And get their 3 Step Acne Fighting System (the bottles are a light blue and green). It doesn't have any feminine smell, and it works like a dream!
- i am in 9th grade and i got really bad acne that started in 7th...ur best option is to go to the dermatologist. i did and he gave me a presription face 'lotion' that i put on before i go to bed. and i promise, it worked. i used to have acne all over my face, now i only get the occasional zit.
- "grassroots" brand work extremely well and its all natural! you can get it at Kohl's. i think the most expensive of there products is around 25$ so its not that expensive! good luck!
- Sun tanning and UV light. Sunlight is a great way to clear up acne. You have to keep a good PH level in your skin. So perhaps investing in a littel sun time will help. Depending on your acne level start by tanning every second day for 10 minutes. If your acne clears up reduce your tanning to two times a week. This is not a promise
- for the longest time i had the same problem i tried proactive, clean and clear, everything everyone used but i got noxzema and i used it for a while and it works really great now..give it sometime but it really does work...if yah need help with which one i use just ask....This stuff really does work!!
- Wash your face several times daily and PAT DRY it do not rub your face. Wash it with a exfoliating wash. I like St. Ives apricot scrub. Gently use the scrub in the morning, after school, and before bed. Make sure you pat dry after a shower and after washes. Also try not to stress yourself out over things in life like girls cause stress can cause you to break out.
- go see your doctor, he/she can perscribe medication epically for acne, will clear it right up.. the sooner you go, the sooner your face will start to clear, and you can start feeling good, and regain your confidence>>>> IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY not life threatening>>>>>>>. good luck
- i suggest that you go see a dermatologist doctor! he/she would know whats perfect for your skin. if you have oily skin i would suggest buying wipes to remove all of the excess facial oil. & wipe your face everyday after school also if you have like a very big pimple i would put a little bit of toothpaste on it at night. that helps it go down.
- try proactiv. it really works.
- i have tried it all, the only way to beat it is with prescription pills and cream. sorry but its true but it really dose work i had it so bad and now not a mark on me. i mean i still wash my face twice a day with Clearasil but nothing beats the prescription stuff but you have to stick with it, just go to your GP and tell them you have tried everything ells
- Proactiv really does work, but it works and onlny works if you use it correctly, and use it twice a day consistently. the poeple that say it doesnt work say that because they didint use it consistently which gave them bad results. but use it well and it will work, it did for me.
- go to sauna ... dont touch u r acne area with hands ..it spreads keep it clean ..use sauna time to time . let me know after 30 days :) if it wont work let me know also ..try to run as long as u can ...or stay in fresh air more then two to three hours a day . i wait for your reply take care
- Go to the dermatologist and they'll give you medicine. Also, get facials once or twice a month to unclog your pores.
- Please realize everyone's skin is different. I've been on Accutane five times and it works great when I'm on it, but my skin gets worse 2-3 months afterwards - others never have another zit after their first dose. A lot of answers have also praised Proactive - it did nothing for me. Another responder said try a tanning bad - this made me break out worse than before. I know you're not willing to try either of the products above, but you can see through the answers that both products have different results on different people - either could be your solution. Go to a dermatologist. They can prescribe some prescription-grade creams and pills to help clear up your skin. If you don't want to try Accutane, acne foam Evoclin is the only other prescription product that has helped me. Are you washing your face morning and night? Wash with St. Ives Apricot Scrub for oily and acne-prone skin. It's cheap, just like $4 at Target and is the best fash wash I've ever used. Do you use a toner? This is a cleanser you apply with a cottonball all over your face, it clears the dirt and oil out of your pores - use morning and night. Have you tried Clean and Clears oil-absorbing sheets? Use those throughout the day when your face looks shiny or feels oily, to get the oil off your face. Do you wash your pillowcase? Your pillowcase gets a lot of dirt on it and you spend all night with your face rubbing all over it - wash it weekly. Realize you are in high school - everyone has some form of acne. Confidence is an attractive thing to a girl - be happy about yourself and kind to her. That will attract her more than clear skin. I doubt she won't go out with you because of your acne, she's a b**** if so and you deserve better. Good luck!
