I don't want to contaminate my skin with chemical products, I need something natural. Benzoil Peroxide is okay, and well I need to get rid of it by August 20th. [first day of middle school] Is there any natural remedies? Pills? Please, nothing too expensive or that a prescription is needed to use it, im on a budget! Also, links will help! 1. don't worry about it, relax
  2. Salt, Yogurt, and lime juice, Mix it together and cover it on your face. think its 2teaspoons of salt half a cup of plain yogurt and half a lemon's worth of juice
  3. calamine lotion is great(has to be the pink)
  4. The best thing for skin is to drink a lot of water and eat healthy foods.
  5. You're just starting the acne stage. The key is to keep your face clean at all times. Try not to put your hands on your face or lean on them. You may not like chemicals, but that's usually what it takes. AVON's Clearskin line is very affordable and has lots of options. Try that, it's on sale a lot.
  6. I have always had really bad skin. I had really bad acne when i was your age and ended up with scars all over my sholders and chest (Not a common thing). But in my experiance, Tee Tree oil products are the best thing i have come accross for preventing spots and its natural! There are blemish sticks for spots, which dry them out and get rid of them really fast. I would suggest you try them!
  7. To blot the oil from your skin, you can use toilet seat liners. (I usually dig down below the first one in the rack to avoid germs.) Just tear one up and use a piece as needed. You could cut them in squares and keep them in an envelope in your purse. They really work and do not disturb makeup. Apply a little toothpaste (non-gel) on pimples overnight. It will dry out the pimple.
  8. I think everyone's skin reacts a little differently and on different levels to certain things, but I've personally found that drinking LOTS of water, eating fresh apple slices dipped in vanilla yogurt, and getting enough nutrition from any vegetable works wonders. Stay away from foods that are greasy, fried, or have lots of saturated fat like hamburgers, french fries, and chocolate. Soft drinks aren't good either. I tried a lot of store bought ointments and creams and they sometimes make it worse for people with naturally oily skin. Fruits, vegetables, and water are the key ingredients. You save lots of money, wasted time from trying all those artificial products, and you look sexier. :)
  9. well i recommend tee-tree gel or any tee-tree product. it cleanses and is really good for acne and pimples. and it is natural and organic. I use it all the time and it smells great. I even use tee-tree shampoo.
  10. Continue using your benzoyl peroxide. There is very little else out there as inexpensive which controls oil and acne as well. "Natural" remedies will frequently end up costing you more than than the *supposedly* non-natural alternatives you typically buy at the drugstore. Find a face wash with salicylic acid in it and use that in addition to the topical benzoyl peroxide. (Salicylic acid, at a concentration of 2%, is a common acne-fighter, and it is pretty much the same thing as aspirin -- acetylsalicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a natural substance that can be found in willow tree bark but is usually synthesized because that is much more economical and saves lots of willow trees.) Tea tree oil can be beneficial, but you'd need to use it at night (since it's an oil -- it will make your skin appear more oily). You can easily spend more on a pricey face lotion or cream than you would on a prescription co-pay for a good acne treatment (if you have insurance), so you should consider seeing a dermatologist/doctor if you have insurance through your parents. One of the best oil-controllers available is called OC8 (OC Eight). It's better than anything else out there, and you can buy it from Amazon.com. It's $40 for a small tube, but a little lasts you a good while and can be used in conjunction with the benzoyl peroxide. It will help control the oil very well if you use it along with the benzoyl peroxide. Good luck!
  11. Even oily skin needs a moisturizer, but choose a light, watery fluid; this will be enough for your skin. Allow the moisturizer to sink in well and then absorb the excess with a tissue to prevent shine.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.com/
