Acne Skin Care

Sensitive skin/acne?

so i have very sensitive skin and all like store bought acne products irritates my skin. I have tried like every one and my parents won't get me like proactiv cause its to expensive to get every month. The only thing i can wash my face with is Dial soap and that doesn't stop breaking out. How can i get rid of my pimples??? is there anyway without using the medicines from the store.

  1. cetaphil works great u can get it at a drugstore also you dont alsways have to wash your face ur can just rinse it every now and then just rinsng wont dry it out to much but the salt in the water will take away some oils good luck
  2. honey face mask leave on your face for about 10-15 mins, or you could try tea tree oil.
  3. Apple cider vinegar will get rid of your pimples - fast. Dilute it with water and put it on your pimples at night before you go to bed. http://www.BeautyBuyNature.com/TricksToGetRidOfaPimple.html
  4. Actually, I got the proactive kit... and it last longer than they say. The one month kit last about 2 months, atleast... If you use it right. It's only about $30. But if you till don't want to do that, just wash your face daily with whatever you use. It'll clean out all the oil and bacteria. Also, when you buy makeup (if you wear it) get WATER based makeup, not oil. And make sure (for foundation AND facewash) it says NON COMODEGETIC on the back. My dermatologist says thats when you know it's the real deal(not always expensive) and it doesn't cause acne or close up pores. Hope that helps :)
  5. Amie Skin Care is made specifically for young skin because to creator wanted something for her daughter that isnt as harsh as other facewashes with all the chemicals. http://www.amieskincare.com/ http://www.amieskincare.com/amie-products/ i use morning clear and its made up with loads of natural things like Orange blossom. You can tell its all natural and its not got that strong smell some washes do its lovely and re-freshing..... Maybe this could help you.?? are you in the US..... i only think this is for the UK but ill look into it for you.... P.S tea tree oil stripped my skin of all its natural oils etc and so my face was sore and dry for a while...... (i had to smother my face in aqeuous cream every night and whenever i could and it took a week to heal properly) So i wouldnt recommeend it for your skin..
  6. I understand your concern and also your parents decision of not buying something thats expensive, but in the long run your parents might end up paying much more than what they would be paying today to check your acne from spreading. If you could convince your parents I would recommend you use zenmed's derma cleanse ance system or just the derma cleanse acne gel for treating your acne. Since you have sensitive skin you need not worry with this product as it is totally natural and made from herbs. I had spent a good amount on treating my acne but after using zenmed my breakouts are controlled and I enjoy clear skin. Zenmed is the best solution that I can offer you for treating your acne.
  7. rubbing alchohol with a nice face lotion about half hour afterwards so your skin doesn't dry out. i use rubbing alchohol all the time. proactive is basically peroxide. so if you want to rub peroxide on your face about 4 to 5 times a day that would be the same thing as proactive. the difference with proactive is that it comes in different forms. just find a non pore clogging face lotion to use after your washings with whatever you use! good luck!
  8. Personally, I had a terrible time with Proactiv. My acne got worse from it, I used it for months to give it ample time, but it never helped at all. Though the one product of theirs that I did like was the clay mask. But you can find those anywhere. If you have a LUSH located where you live I recommend them. All of their products are natural, organic, and some of them require refrigeration because they are made from such fresh products. They have great products for problem skin, and the employees are very helpful. You can also pick up their stuff online. I personally like, Fresh Farmacy. It has soothing calamine & camomile in it. you can check out all of their stuff here: http://usa.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/00077?expand=FacialCare I also had some success with a sulfur based soap. Sulfur is pretty effective in treating acne. You can find sulfur soap at most health food stores. And I'm sure at some drug stores too. I know how frustrating & emotionally damaging acne can be. If you have really bad acne, talk to your parents about seeing a dermotologist. If you have insurance they should be cheaper than Proactiv. They can even treat you with antibiotics if you want to go in that direction. (not everyone does) I was on Tetracyclyn for awhile, but I didnt have any luck with it. All bodies are different, so that's why some routines work for some and not for others. Best of luck on finding what's right for you!
  9. You shouldn't use proactiv. It is not recommended for sensitive skin & can make breakouts worse. There are neutrogena acne cleansers and acne products.

  11. Cucumber - mashed or in juice form - can be applied to sensitive skin; unlike many other acne home remedies it doesn't dry your skin, on the contrary, it acts like a very gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne
