Dermal fillers for light acne scars, cost? I have some acne scars, that arn't bad ...but are like little indents or pits. not very deep or large. i can see that they are surface scars and do not extend deep into the epidermis. But its kinda hard to cover the uneveness with makeup, and i have sensitive skin so i cant use very thick coverage like MAC. im hesitant to do laser resurfacing cuz i have really sensitive skin and im kinda a picker.. so i dont heal all that well. also ive heard of streaking and discolorations.. is there large scabs after laser? so im thinking about getting dermal fillers like restalyn or cosmoderm or even fat transfer. what is the costs of these procedure? and which is safest? um yea, mederma only works for red, fresh scars. im talking about old scars that make skin uneven..like indents and little pits. i have mederma, read the instructions. says it doesnt work with old scars. only new fresh ones

Trying to get rid of my acne and acne scars. I went to a place and they told me about a treatment.? Its an acne laser package. It has 4 aramis laser treatments, 2 microdermabrations, 2 face peels, 1 blue light , and 1 read light treatment. The price is $1800.00, which is alot . My question is do you think it will work on the acne and the scars and does the price for theses procedures sound reasonable or not? Please if you have had any of these done or know alot about them let me know what you think.

How safe is laser technique for acne treatment??? Please suggest me whether I should go for laser treatment or not. Because in any clinic which provides this service , they never tell about its side effects or its demerits. I am confused. I have this problem of acne since last 5 years and I am under mediacation throughout this period. Although I have changed doctors but still it doesn't show any improvement.Almost everything I have tried and given its due time to show its effects. But nothing has worked so far. Someone has suggested me to undergo this treatment( laser). I want to know about its side effects or ill effects if any. Also I want to know about blue\red light treatment if anyone has heard about it. From your personal experience, what's the best method to get rid of Acne Scarring? My acne scars aren't really light, but they're not really bad either. They're definitely in the middle. I am thinking of getting laser skin resurfacing done in a few months after my skin clears up a bit and there's just the scars left, but I don't know a whole lot about it. I don't want there to be a chance of my scars getting worse. I'm not looking to get into microdermabrasion because I've seen a lot of cases with it and the treatment almost does nothing for acne scars. Any help is appreciated

Has anyone had laser skin resurfacing done? For acne scarring. It's a bit pricey, but I want to get it done from some light scarring I have from teenage acne. What I want to know is how bad were your scars, how many treatments did you get and was it ultimately worth it? Can anyone help with acne skin problems? OK, so I'm 23 and have the skin of a 13 year old (in a bad way! haha!) It's not massively greasy, and that's not a worry either way, but I get a LOT of spots, I guess it classes as adult acne. I get huge spots that erupt on my forehead and chin along with medium spots, tiny, rash like spots and the ubiquitous blackheads. This doesn't happen at any particular time of the month/when I'm stressed etc, it just happens all the time! I spend a fortune on skincare and nothing, thus far, has helped. I'm getting to the end of my tether and am thinking of trying light laser therapy to get rid! So my question is, has anyone found a miracle cure/something that's worked very well for them; or have you had laser therapy and can comment on the effectiveness of that? I need safe, affordable treatment for acne scars. Does it exist? I don't have extremely deep scars on my face, but they are noticeable and widespread around my face. Depending on the lighting/shadows of a room, they can be very noticeable to not so noticeable. I have seen a dermatologist, and dumped a couple grand into micro-dermabrasion. I noticed mild results, but could not afford to keep them up. I try to do research, but it is so confusing. Chemical peels, acid peels, lasers, surgeries, home remedies, etc. I don't want to do anything super serious with high risk of intensified scarring, or that has long recovery times. I also don't have tons of cash to waste on unreliable methods. Can anyone offer some suggestions, either from professional or personal experience?

Got rid of acne but my skin still looks dirty?? Acne scars and acne are ruining my confidence? I have paid at least £10,000 on acne scar treatments such as Blue peels, IPL laser, Fraxel laser, Obagi produces, N lite laser etc etc etc but still I have acne scarring. I also still get mild to moderate acne that scars really easily due to my very sensitive skin. I went to see a new dermatologist the other day who presecribed Isotretonoin gel and Duac gel to clear up the acne. With regard to the scarring he said the retin A in isotretinoin gel would help with it and to save my money and not have any more laser because on a scale of 1-10 my scars are only a 1. He did however say that he could see them in the light that was coming through the window behind me but that he was trained to see them. Why then, if my scars are this subtle do they absolutely rule my life Why do I walk through town with my hair covering my cheeks. Why does nobody see me without make up on :(

Which guys or girls have blemishes/scars from past acne, and how do you deal with this? Especially in dating? Hey, I used to have moderate breaking out and now my skin looks bad. Skin's not smooth and radiant like the people I see around me all the time. I'm so mad about it, it's always on my mind. I know it's very noticeable too, especially in bright lighting. What is the best treatment for moderate, persistent acne? What is the best way for men with light skin to treat moderate, persistent acne on the face? Acutane seems like overkill and is expensive. Pills like oracea or minocin have helped, but they have not given me clear skin, only a reduction in redness and acne. Topicals like finacea or metrogel are useless and irritating because I also have rosacea. I have tried IPL photofacial and it worked better than anything else, but I am still wondering if there could be an equally effective solution that is less expensive. Or, should I commit to a consistent IPL treatment along with lasers? If so, are there actually any medical spas in CA that have licensed doctors who perform or visually oversee these procedures? The assistants make me too nervous and most standard dermatologists are still behind the times, as they still push useless creams, expensive pills that don't work and do not have IPL or lasers in their offices. I know that quality treatment will cost money. Expert opinions are welcome!

How do i get rid of acne scars? I had lots of pimples, acne and blackheads on my face... after using lots of Benzoyl peroxide and face-washing gels, I finally got rid of them (mostly, except when I have my period I get some) but still my face isn't clear, I have scars from picking/popping my pimples :-( what should I do? It there any way to get rid of them? They are mostly on my forehead... they look so bad when I look close at them... and I'm only 21, will it go away by itself if I don't touch them? I have severe acne problems--- doctors and people help! i have cystic acne. It is acne under the skin. and it creates bad scars. the doctor is retarded, and doesn't even care. I can't see a dermatoligist cause of money, and I have used MANY acne treatments. I have neutrogena, the wave, and acne systems like terminator, acne free, boil stuff, etc. But i have extremely sensitive skin, so I can't use a lot of stuff. Acne marks? ive had bad skin since i was 17, it started when i started threading - an indian hair removal method. Now ive stopped and my skin has been left with some pitted marks which arent too deep but you can see them in the light, are there any laser or surgical methods which are safe to diminish their appearance My doctor said it was caused by threading. Acne Problem Help?!!? dermatologists? Are dermatologists doctors or businessmen? I go see my dermatologist every 3 or 4 months and his employees keep criticizing and dramaticizing the conditions of my skin. I have light acne scars and shallow blemishes. She told me if I don't do a laser (skin resurfacing, erbium, etc) the blemishes and scars will get worse. Was she trying to convince me to spend $1800 or just "doing her job"? By the way, I asked all my friends and they all said my acne scars aren't that dark and deep.

Do burn marks on the face go away? Earlier this year..march to be more precise, i received laser treatment (Intense pulse light) for my spots..(adults acne). The spots are calming down (thank God)...but i reacted to the laser during one of my treatments. Basically, certain areas of my face felt really hot, a burning feeling so i applied an ice pack. The areas also turned green (yes green!)..a day later it swelled into a blister and water formed inside. i let the blister harden and crust away naturally! i didnt touch it. and i applied rose hip seed oil to the areas. i now have darker pigmented marks left on the area. Will these marks go away? i feel low about it. i hate wearing concealer and even then, the marks look grey! can anyone help please? Thankyou x its been 6 months now :-(

home treatment to remove horrible acne scars? My scars are all over my face, horrible ones. I meet girls in dark places and my personality attracts attention. Then we go out into light and my scars are seen, and that ends it all. They walk a way, and after it happened yesterday, I have to do something before I come even more depressed and I am, and I do something drastic. I need to know a way to do it at home. I am a single father, and full time student. And after a 4000.00 laser treatment that I did, and got very little results, I cannot afford that again. I need something effective, to use at home. I am getting desperate and willing to try sandpaper to reduce my scars if I must but that cannot be healthy. I want to try at home kits, chemical peals, micro dermabrasion, any thing that will get rid the scars. I am getting so depressed of the reactions I get from my scars on my face that I am ready to give up, and go from there, or where ever else giving up takes me. Thsnk you for all you efforts here. Whats the best/fastest way to get rid of or at least fade scars? I have 5 little acne scars I'm not too fond of on my abdomen(yeah... my abdomen). I don't know why I got those little suckers, but, anyway, I'm a light-skinned person and my scars are brown. This totally doesn't look right on my complexion. I've been using an exfoliating scrub and sponge and I guess this has helped a little, then again, it could just be time because I've had these things since early May. I've also used an entire bottle of Bio-Oil to fade them and that junk didn't do squat. Anyone have a better suggestion that doesn't involve lasers or professional treatment? Mucho Thanks.

I tried everything... nothing seems to work, my father keeps telling me it is.. but its soo hard to give up the food i love! I think hes right...because if i drink alcohol, my acne seems to be worse the next day,,,,I have very very sensitive skin, my face will get bright red if i get nervous, or shy...So does it? Obagi Nu Derm of Clenziderm? okay, so I have had acne all my life, but now it's not too bad. I just have scars, like red marks left behind from zits and I'm very oily. I have been on Accutane twice, and that was great, my oil dried up for once! However, my main problem is the scars the acne leaves behind, which is why I wear foundation. I even tried doing the blue light therapy and laser and retin-a, etc. Anyway, I was wondering if nu derm or clenziderm would be good for my acne prone skin and the scarring. On the website the before and after photos look better for scarring on the nu derm, but I don't know. I've read different things. Thank you for your help!

What is wrong with my skin (Face)? I have acne on my right and left side of my cheeks. I'm light/brown skined so sometimes my acne leaves scars and they show. I don't touch my face nor eat much junk food. Sometimes my nose and forehead gets shiney after a few hours. I take showers everyday and wash my face with acne soaps. I use Aloe Gel too. how can i get rid of pock marks on my face??? i recently went through a horrible outburst of very bad acne for about 4 months because i went of my birth control and my hormones went insane. now i have scars and pock marks all over my face. i know scars will fade with time, but with the spring/summer sunlight these pock marks are extremly obvious, even under makeup. and my boss at work decided to put in higher wattage light bulbs too :(. does anyone know ANYTHING other than laser removal that can make these even before my wedding in auguest?! Caracol Cream and My Thing? Ok, this is rather embarrassing. However, it is also rather important. I recently received my Caracol Cream under a free trial offer. I would use it on my face, but I'm going to wait until after I finish my ALA/Blue Light treatments to begin. I'm only 16, and my skin is in ok shape aside from acne, and a few wrinkles on my forehead I don't like so much. I've looked at several reviews. Caracol Cream was at the top, so I'm thinking it's fairly effective. Now onto the important part. Some of you may find this inappropriate or disturbing if not gross, but it's just medical, so please try and be of some assistance. Anyways, when I was eleven, and I first started doing that thing... that guys do... I started off (big mistake) using shampoo. I did it twice. The first time scared the crap out of me. It left bad chemical burns that destroyed my first layer of skin (I think). After the healing, there were extensive scars and fine lines on that certain area. The second time, I used conditioner after a long time of waiting. It had the same effect. It left scars as well. Somehow, my nerves went undamaged as far as I can tell, and everything underneath the first lay of skin seems to be in good shape, but the scars make me quite self conscious So... as you may have guessed by now, I'm wondering if it the Caracol Cream would help there, too. It says it uses an exfoliation process. Which I know means to remove the first layer of dead skin cells... this worries me. Would this potentially damage my nerves in my... thing? And would it possibly cause even more scarring? Either way, those scars make me self conscious. And it's a scary thing to have any kind of laser surgery in that part of your body or any other methods of scar removal. the scars are more fine lines than anything, so it's not so much any scars as wrinkles and fine lines. I expect some to be normal, but most of the ones that I have I know for a fact aren't natural to have... thanks in advance.

On the pics the light from the camera is shining on them making them seem a lot less distinctive than they are in real life. My dermaetologist says im too young (17) to have a chemical peel and to young to have lazer surgery even though i know 14 year olds who have had laser surgery so i dunno what they think. Are there any home remedies to make there appearence less distincive? Do you know of any?

Why? Why me? I don't squeeze my pimples or anything, and I barely touch my face...why do I still get scars then? I don't touch my face even when it is itchy. Even if it is, I make sure my hands are washed with soap before evenI touch my face. I've tried almost everything to treat acne, from Proactive to using supplements and to go as far as having laser treatment. Nothing has worked for me. I feel so bad about my face that I hate to turn on the lights when I'm in the bathroom and I hate looking at my face in the mirror up close. And I hate having to see my friends acne free while I suffer. Is there really no way to treat acne? I've just heard about apple cider vinegar? Does that really work? Please give any advice! I just don't understand how I can go from having white and flawless skin to acne prone and red skin.

From your personal experience, what's the best method to get rid of Acne Scarring? My acne scars aren't really light, but they're really bad either. They're definitely in the middle. I am thinking of getting laser skin resurfacing done in a few months after my skin clears up a bit and there's just the scars left, but I don't know a whole lot about it. I don't want there to be a chance of my scars getting worse. I'm not looking to get into microdermabrasion because I've seen a lot of cases with it and the treatment almost does nothing for acne scars. Any help is appreciated

Blue / Red Light Acne Therapy with ONLY the red light? Hi, So I read up on blue / red light acne therapy a while ago and I must say I was rather intrigued. Unfortuantely, I do not have a blue and red lamp. I *do* however, have an LED light (like a laser pointer) that's red. I was wondering, would the red light on its own actually be able to reduce the acne? I have read from one source that the red light merely speeds up healing of skin but I don't know how reliable that source is. Could merely shining the red light, without blue light, possibly be detrimental? Thanks in advance! To Emilia: Okay, I probably should have clarified that I am already using a scrub, a standard facial gel, and topical anti-biotics. I merely want to clarify the effects of using red-light as opposed to blue/red light for acne therapy. It was my fault that I didn't clarify the question; I am not seeking an urgent "WHAT DO I DO about my ACNE?!" answer, I am merely curious as to what using only red light will do compared to a combination of blue and red. Has anyone tried laser surgery for post-acne marks? My skin is very sensitive and I can't seem to get rid of my acne marks (light skin with red/purple spots-in chin area) and was wondering if anyone has tried laser surgery to remove the scars, if it worked and if it is worth it..
