What is the best skin cure for acne? I have mild acne that I have been trying to get rid of for weeks now, I wash my face every morning and night, but the acne seems to appear just as bad every time, I have used five products that proved unsuccesful. What are the best skin care products to use that do not cost over $20.00 or cause freaky side effects? I wanted to try Proactive, but my cousin said it is hazardous to your skin, and it is kind of expensive, help!!!

acne prone skin, looking for a cure? my skin isn't really oily. it gets tight when i wash it so i put on an oil free moisturizer with spf 15. That gets absorbed fast and my face feels tight again. as the day goes on, my face gets oily and red. i used to put baby powder on my face which worked pretty well, but stopped when i heard it could cause lung cancer and when i asked a question here, i found out it was bad for your skin. do you have any advice for that? home cures especially! i've tried too many acne products and don't want to spend a lot anymore.

Acne cures for REALLY sensitive skin? I don't really have bad acne at all, just a few spots, however, they are really annoying. My face doesn't respond so well to salicylic acid (hives, itchines) or benzoyl peroxide (red, burned, face, increased sensitivity). How to cure acne? I have dry, oily skin, and a lot of acne. I try to eat well and I don't eat any greasy foods, I drink a lot of water, and I do yoga to try and manage my stress, but I still have a lot of breakouts. I've tried just about every product... aveeno... neutrogena... clearasil... acnefree... proactive... biore... zapzyt... oxy... and none of them seem to give me the results I want. I've tried medications that dermatologists have recommended, and I still don't see any long term results. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use?

How is acne really made and is there a cure? ok.. i heard two differant ways acne is caused 1) a combination of oil, dirt and dead skin cells get caght in the pore causing it to swell........ or 2) The oil that regerally flows out of the pore starts to flow faster then what it is supposed to and gets trapped in the pore causing it to swell. is there even a real cause aof acne? is there a cure?

Why does sebum get blocked? I think I might know how to cure acne!? I made an observation yesterday. You know how your parents always tell you to take a shower every day and wash your face to stay clean and healthy. Well it is true, but I noticed that whenever most people wash there face that have acne break out or for that matter have pimples. Like if you worked out really hard and sweated and didn't wash your face for a couple of days or more your face actually starts to clear up! So I did a little research on Sebum. I found out that Sebum forms part of oil that coats the skin. Sweat, lipids and environmental dirt are other ingredients of the oil on the skin. This oil protects skin from BACTERIAL INFECTION(ACNE!). It also reduces the natural water loss from the skin(WRINKLES). I thought to myself WOW!! Could it be that were actually causing our own problems!! I realized then that washing your face actually washes away the good oil(sebum) and causes more sebum to come back even more.. but after that wash of the face you remove that skin protection! I asked my wife who has beautiful clear skin without ever getting acne if she ever washed her face or put anything on it. She told me that she never puts anything on her face and never washes her face with water. The only time it gets wet is maby from washing her hair or from going swimming in the lake. I am pretty convinved that peoples own sebum might actually be the cure for our acne. If we keep washing our face we are removing that protective oil on our skin, then it comes back even more oily and aggravates the bacteria that has formed because of the last washing of the face wich removed that sebum protection. Ok then why does the pores get blocked?

Well see, I grow facial hair quickly, so I usually shave once everyday or once every 2 days. So, I do have acne. And I've noticed that if I don't shave, my acne goes away. If I do shave, the acne comes back within a day or so. I still want to be able to shave, because I don't like having a beard.. or any facial hair. So My Question Is: How do I keep shaving so the acne doesn't appear? Is there some sort of skin care cream / lotion I can use? Please Help...

How can acne prone skin be treated from the inside out? My sister is 27 years old. For as long as I can remember she has always had problems with acne. She has tried everything from Maderma, Neutrogena, Noxzema, Clinique, Pro Activ, etc., etc. She has even consulted a dermatologists who basically states to her everytime there is no cure for acne. This I know is indeed true. It is basically something you either grow out of or suffer with for the rest of your life. It really is taking a toll on here emotionally and I just need to know what could she do. She has even changed her diet so I know it's not her food intact that is damaging her skin and making her so prone to these constant break-outs. So what are her options. What pills, cream or even remedy that she could either take or use on a daily basis to diminish the appearance of her acne? Thank You for any advice given!
Ahh . . . i hate my skin! Acne is everywhere!!? okay, i have acne on my face, but i get under the skin pimples all the time (nodules), i have horrible bacne and i have a condition on my arms called chicken skin! please help. Treatment for poor skin/acne? I've had very poor skin for a very long time... try 5 years... I've had various treatments from the doctor including antibiotics which didn't help at all, skin creams which helped, but dried out my skin and tonics which resulted in the same as the creams. I've even been on the contraceptive pill for a long time now which seems to be keeping it under control, but my skin still isn't very nice. I've tried eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, which seems to help marginally. Has anyone else suffered so badly with their skin and managed to cure it? If so, how did you do it?

Any miracle cures for red skin caused by acne? So I'm a 17 year old girl, and I've had acne for a very long time. I'm on a lot of prescriptions that really help; I only have minor bumps on my face now. However, my face is just red. I think its kind of like that naturally and then because of some acne scarring and stuff its worse. I use good makeup and stuff but it still just tends to show through eventually. Cheap, Yet Effective Acne Cure? Okay, I'm going to tell you guys about one of the biggest things I dislike about myself: my acne. I have terrible acne and had terrible acne since around second grade. My skin is naturally pale, almost like a porcelain doll's, yet my skin around my face is so red! Even when I apply toner it doesn't always help! I hate it! Also, all the oil from my acne makes my hair look greasy half way through the day, even if I had washed it that morning! I break out in blemishes all the time, and not only is it on my face, but I break out on my neck, chest, and backl as well. It was bad enough that when I went to see a docter for a check-up, he saw how bad I was breaking out and gave me the pill Tetracycline. While it does help, I know I should wash my face as well. So my question to everyone is what is an effective, yet cheap remedy to help acne go away? Also, how would I go about washing areas such as my back? If anyone can give advice on a good product, or a home-based remedy, that'd be great!
Can exercise cure acne? I have slight acne on my face, back, and chest. Just little red ones sometimes white on the top and blackheads on my nose. i wash my face daily with Cetaphil and moisturize with their lotion at night after my shower and my face is clean. I have decided to start working out more, at home and at the gym, and i was wondering if that could help my acne? i know a buildup of sweat can cause pimples but what if i wash right after? and i dont sweat much anyways. Also can being in the sun cure acne? For some reason during summer i always have less acne and i dont know why. What can i eat to make my skin clear up?

Acne Cure? Should i stop using face products that contain sodium laureth sulfate? I have found out about a harmful chemical that is in facewashes, soap, shampoos and toothpastes. Its call sodium laureth sulfate. Or sometimes Sodium Lauryl Sulfate From what ive read its bad news for acne sufferers. It causes irritation to sensitive skin, and causes flare ups. Im 25 and I have acne. Im wondering if anyone can tell me if they have used items free of this chemical and if it had worked?
