Acne Skin Care

Is it true that using acne cream or medication can make acne worse? I've heard that using acne cream like Proactiv or Clearsil can clear acne for a few weeks but will cause it to come back, even worse and last even longer. Is this true? Also, I went to an acne treatment review website and for most acne treatment brands there are reviews that say it's amazing and also reviews that says it's horrible, so it's hard to know what product will have the best resulsts. Any advice?

Does Continuously Clear Dry-Lo Spot Treatment Acne Medication actually work? I heard great reviews on it and I'm tempted to try it out. Has anyone ever used any of these acne medications (need opinions/reviews/advice)? Shiva23 or Acne Free (Severe) Can you tell me if they worked? Please help!!! My acne is really really bad! I want something to work without having to irritate my skin. I'm very gentle with my skin and have a routine, but nothing works. So, please, if you've used either of these products, help me out. Or if you have recommendations for different products, that'd be good, too.

ACNEXUS!!!! acne medication? A couple of weeks ago i ordered a product called acnexus. i felt very confident that this would finally be my ticket out but i personally have not noticed a change... if not more acne. i would love some personal reviews from anyone who has tried this product or has heard about it and how long it took to work for you... maybe i am being impatient and need to give it more time? idk... any help is greatly appreciated! thx so much.

Proactive vs OTC acne medications like clean and clear? There has been a lot of good reviews for proactive but I want to know who it compares with otc acne medications in terms of whats in it.

best acne medication? ive had acne since i was in 4th grade [im 16 now] and its basically the worse its been. ive got tons of scarring that mostly fades away in half a yr. i really need something thatll work and that wont let my acne come back after one missed dose. ive taken benzaclin and that has gotten my skin completely clear at one point but then i ran out and now im stuck with all these scars. i was looking into accutane but ive read some bad reviews. i want something that i can take [pills/ injections] that is a more long lasting cure. is there anything out there? ive tried proactive and it didnt do a thing.

acne free univeristy medical? it's a brand of acne medication. just wondering if anyones had good reviews on it? espiecally the scarring recovery gel stuff that comes in a pen applicator.

What should I do or use to clear up my face? I have very very sensitive skin and it always seems to be very dry so I have to moisturize 2 times a day before and after i put on my acne medication which is benacyclin and retinay micro (sp?) The only lotion i can use on my face is aveeno daily moisturizing lotion, that is the only lotion i have found that doesn't make my face red or sting. I have been to quite a few dermatologists but they just keep recommending the same thing, I have been using these meds for about 2 years and my face still looks horrible. My face mainly has some scarring from acne and every 2 days or so a new couple pimples appear...I was thinking about getting proactive but i have such sensitive skin that i am worried it will harm my skin and i have heard both good and really bad reviews. I was wondering if anyone knew of any products that will help me preferably ones that are not incredibly expensive....thanks for your help

Help with acne!!!. I went to the doctor for my acne and need information on some medications? My doctor prescribed me a morning jell that contains RETINOIC ACID and a night jell containing AZELAIC ACID. Does anyone know about these products, i need your help. please!!! Zineryt Perscription? I've just been perscribed this medication by my GP. After hearing bad stories about perscribed acne medication, I was pleased to hear good reviews about Zineryt. For the last month, i've been using Proactiv. My doctor said its fine to use Proactiv with Zineryt, but i'm a little worried! I don't want to come off Proactiv as it has helped my skin, but I don't want to not start Zineryt as Proactiv didn't make my skin as clear as I want it to be. Thanks.

Should I buy Acnetix? I have a SERIOUS acne problem. My acne is not like the acne that people have on the Proactive or Clean and Clear commercials. They only have a few pimples on their faces, I have A LOT. I was looking on the Internet and found an acne medication product called Acnetix. I read all kinds of reviews saying how great it was. I looked on the website and decided that if I was going to buy some, I would buy one bottle of Acnetix and one bottle of pore minimizer (its supposed to help with blackheads). The total was $61.78, I have more than enough money to buy it, but is as good as people say it is? Is it worth it? Should I buy it?

Bare Mineral Worries .. help? ..? So I just purchased the Bare Minerals Starter kit today at my local Sephora store along with the Bisque concealer. I tried it when I got home, and it didnt do much for me (or my mom who also bought it) .. then I watched the DVD it came with and realized I was doing it wrong LOL .. So I am going to do it the right way tomorrow morning if I go out. I'm just concerned about the reviews I've read online. People have said they have broken out randomly and that scares me so bad; swollen eyes and flaky skin. Now, then again they had pre-existing cases of ezema and roseasha, and sensative skin. So maybe that is why. Has anyone really used Bare Minerals and had a GOOD experience? My face feels weird after using it, probably cause I'm not use to the brush LOL. I moisturize in the morning and will use the rever-uper, and at night I use my acne medication to prevent breakouts and I use Vitamin E oil. Anything to subside my fears would be helpful! Thanks! How do I know if I have sensative skin? I dont think I do. I know my Retin-A-Micro has made my skin a little sensative. But that is normal with that medication. Other than the weird feeling of the brush, the makeup didnt bother me. Maybe thats a good sign? Well, I DO have oily skin and find the liquid stuff makes it worse (even with powder over it) .. so it should help with my oily skin.

HELP ! i am a 12 year old girl with BIG pimple issues ! PLEASE HELP :S !? okaay, so here's the deal. I HAVE PIMPLES/ZITS/ACNE, whatever you wanna call it..thats what i have! i started seeing them at grade 4-5..i'm 12, everyone says its "hormones" but its pissing me off!!! I HATE IT, i've searched good pimple medications, good tips,but NONE OF THEM WORK! i seriously WANT THEM GONE,some people tease me with pimples and make fun of me..ONLY SOME,but it still hurts. i told the doctor and they prescribed me benzaclin and i heard it works good too, but unfortunatley..some of the side effects, effected me (cramps).and i tried oxy, but it did nothing.i tried noxema but it sucks! and i am currently using clean and clear continous control&I THINK ITS MAKING IT WORSE,cus i used to have it ALL OVER MY FOREHEAD but i am starting to have it on my cheeks and near my mouth! I HATE IT! i just want them GONE! and i have them all over my forehead, near my hair (which hurts like heck!) i want something w. good reviews,something w.o side effects& something cheap. thnx!(=
