What is the best OTC acne medication for an over weight person? Hi, I am over weight and currently looking for an over the counter acne medication that works. I have tried stridex, clearasil, noxema, and acne free and those didn't work. I tried clean and clear, and that worked for a little while. I also tried Neutrogena, that was the best, but it quit working. Can anyone please tell me something besides these products that you have tried and found sucessful?

What is the best over the counter acne medication ? I usually get breakouts every once in a while around the time of my period and what not, but just the past week or my entire face is breaking out terriably. what's the best acne medication for mild acne on a person with naturally oily skin who is active in sports I have used proactiv and acnexus and a number of other products. I'm 30 yrs old now and I still break out and I'm tired of it. I have had no luck with the dermatologist recommendations like benzo cream or tetracycline pills. I was wondering if anyone with my type of skin or similar to mine has found a good acne defender. If so please help me I'm self conscious enough and sales is how i provide for my family. It seems like if I don't break out by my forehead then under my lips or my side. I have never been completely free of acne and don't completely expect to with my oily skin. I made appointments to see a dermatologist but they don't have any openings until 2 months from now and by the time I go for my second visit, Ill be 21with no insurance until mine own kicks in. Bare Mineral looks caked on me so that one is out of the question (no i didn't use more than I should) I use Maybbelline Dream Mate foundation. Any make up that I can find in department or drugstores would do.
what is the best acne medication ? i've tried proactiv & normal benzoyl peroxide and both of them really broke my face out so i think im allergic to benzoyl peroxide - however i have an exfoliating scrub by saint ives with salicylic acid in it and it makes my skin look healthy , so i think that would work well on my face. i've also tried clean & clear and products similar, but they didn't do that good of a job. what should i use ? if it helps im a teenage boy .

What is the best acne/pimple medication for a 12 year old? My 12 year old daughter is very obviously going through puberty!! She has started to break out on her face, chest, & upper back. This is very embarassing for her, especially with swim-suit season coming up. Any ideas? I did not go through this stage when I was younger so I'm not sure what to do? She washes the problem areas twice a day with oatmeal soap, and has tried every over the counter medicine available at our local wal-mart. Has also used prescription benzoyle-peroxide, and most recently proactiv. Nothing helps! We have already tried proactiv and it DID NOT WORK!! Was way too harsh for her skin. Her doctor does not want to put her on oral medication because she is so young and after a while her body will get used to it and it will not work anymore(which makes since).

Can acne medication darken the area around the eyes? I have two dark lines extending 45 degrees in between my nose and eyes. I've heard that these are darkened when the skin is dehydrated, and I use some skin medication for acne (still. I know, it sucks.) Best acne medication.? Alright. So I've tried Noxema, Clearasil, and Neutrogena. Along with many other smaller products. All of them have had little to no effect on clearing my acne. Best medication for acne?!? I have acne and am a teen. It's not mild but it's not totally covering my face with big red zits either. I've tried Neutrogena and something my dermatologist gave me but neither really worked. I'm using Clean & Clear Advantage but my acne doesn't seem to be getting any better. I mostly get zits on my forehead and nose. But I have some red spots on my cheeks and eyebrow area. I can't afford a $30 acne medication. Nothing more than $20. I don't know what to do and I don't want to go back to school with acne again.

Best medication for acne (besides accutane)? I currently use a 5% PanOxyl bar, and I need some topical medication to pair this with. My previous treatments have been BenzaClin in the morning and a topical Clidamycin gel at night, BenzaClin in the morning and RetinA micro at night, and BenzaClin in the morning and Differin at night. Out of all of these, the RetinA micro has worked best, Clindamycin second, but my doctor took me off those for some reason. Should I go back to RetinA? or will I build up a resistance? And do I really need the BenzaClin or would tretinoin work fine alone? Also wondering, has anyone tried that red/blue light treatment and if so, how does it work? I don't want to go on accutane - that sounds like it has too severe of side effects, and my acne's not THAT bad - it's just that I stopped my topical gels because they weren't working and I didn't want to build up a resistance to the medications.

I've tried a lot of stuff, Clearasil (not sure how to spell that), Proactiv, Benzol Peroxide and lots of other face washes but nothing seems to work. I even went to the doctor and got birth control pills because they r supposed to help your skin but those didn't work either. Acne medication that works best..? Proactiv didn't work, and clearisil burned my skin. Im on clear advantage ( for bout 4 weeks) and nothing has changed..? WHat is recomended? umm.. skin type? i guess it gets oily easily. The clearisil worked great, but after a few months it burned my skin.
