Skin Care Help! Acne... Natural Remedy?!? I'm 23 and I've had mild acne since highschool. Here's what I do now: -wash my face w/ a mary kay bar soap a.m. & p.m. -use 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, then an oil-free lotion -I eat healthy for the most part -change my pillow case every 2 days -I hardly wear make up.. and when I do I use Bare Escentuals Mineral MakeUp I've tried Proactiv twice and it worked at first.. but it wasn't for me. I don't want to try anything harsh.. like drugs from a dermatologist.. Has anyone tried anything that is natural & safe that has worked?! I've been researching Acnezine and other detoxing products. Anyone tried those?! I'm in desperate need. Anyone who suffers from acne knows how hard it is. Please help! If there's a dermatologist out there that could tell me how the detoxing natural remedies work that would be Awesome!
How can I treat my acne while remaining on my natural progesterone cream? The progesterone has been helping me so far in so many ways, with one aggravating side effect: major breakouts. Does anyone know how I can take care of my acne while continuing to use the Progesterone? I am 33; always had sensitive skin and since starte Progesterone I'm plagued with large pores, mega blackheads and breakouts galore!!
What is better to treat acne?? soap and water vs skin care products? Products like Noxema, Clean and clear, clearasil, proactiv, and neutragena. (all of which i have used to no success) So, should i just go natural and stick with soap?? is that really the answer? to simply clean my face like any other part of my body? or am i just picking the wrong products. tell me: soap or product. and why? and if product, which one do you recommend, :) thanks
question about acne skin care routine? heyy i just have a few quick questions about an acne skin care routine. at the moment i am usuing murad acne complex which is designed for acne and acne prone skin. alot of people have not heard of this product before since its kinda new on the market. anways, lol i use it twice a day. the cleanser, a toner type thing, and a skin lotion. now im just wondering if i use baking soda as an exfoliator will it iritate my skin and make me break out more because its not a murad product? and yes, baking soda is a natural exfoliator.i love it because it makes my skin really soft after!! and plus i use a facial mask by murad. so im just wondering if you think it will iritate my skin. and also if i drink water with lime or lemon in it. it should help my acne skin right??? thanks to all the answers. and if you have any tips please feel free to add!!!
Is there a good skin care product that will clear skin while improving the health of your skin? I've noticed that most skin care products are used to treat only acne, or only aging/wrinkles. Are there any products that combine both? I tend to have greasy skin, but it dries out VERY easily with certain products. It's very dry during winter months, but greasier during summer. I also have VERY large pores. I was looking at "Natural Advantage" skin care line, but don't know if it'll be an effective acne treatment? I want HEALTHY, YOUNG looking skin as well as CLEAR skin. Any suggestions?
How do you help a 16 year old girl, deal with a bad acne face that nothing helps? I am a mother of a 16 year old that has a very bad acne problem. We have tried every skin care product that is out there. Nothing helps. She is haveing a very hard time dealing with her face. She does not want to go to school or go out. She does not want anyone to see her. She does not want to take medication because of the side affects. Lazer treatment we can not afford. Any herbs or natural way we can treat her acne we are open. ACNE:is there a natural cure for acne? for example diet , water ,exercise ,skin care etc eg why would a 13 year old cure acne in a week by eating less refined foods etc but others claim that unrefined foods dont help? Are some people needing a longer period to see a cure and might be also doing something wrong eg using creams or being too inactive or actually cant admit they are failing to keep off refined foods?
People Who Live Green: How Can I Cure Acne While Wet and Naked? I've got an acne problem and I am looking for bodywashes/soaps that will cure acne. Are there any good natural (no animals or animal testing, no petroleum, drugs or harsh chemicals) soaps or bodywashes that would take care of this problem? BTW, Eucalyptus could kill me and I'd prefer not smelling like flowers.
Is accutane ruining my body's natural way of dealing with acne? I am now an 18 year old male. I first took accutane about a year ago for about 6 months when I had acne ranging from mild to medium-severe, and it had fantastic results. After i stopped taking it acne was not even an issue anymore. Then after about 5 months the acne slowly but surely started coming back. Now I am on it again and it is woking but taking a little longer than the quick results the first time. I was and am now taking 1 pill a day (40) mg i believe. My questions are: 1. Is me taking accutane ruining my bodies natural way of dealing with acne? My brother had some mild acne issues in his teen years but his body naturally took care of it. Should I just wait out the embarrasing acne rather than taking accutane. Can accutane actually delay the acne stage for later years? 2. Are my symptoms/accutane history average for accutane users, and what can I expect for results? 3. Will accutane ever permanently rid my face of acne? Thank you for your time reading my question.
Skin Care--mild acne? I have a little but of acne, a few spots on my chin and forehead Does anyone know any good ways to get rid of it quickly or any good natural concealers??

whats a good natural skin regime for a teenager to follow? im 14 and i live in las vegas. it's pretty dry here, and my skin is dull and dry. i have moderate acne on my face. i use aveeno daily cleansor for my face and moisturize w/ vaseline intensive care. do you have any skin regimes using natural products (like eggs, milk, etc) that i can use to help my skin look radiant?
Is even natural sugar bad for acne? Okay, please, I do not want to hear "Sugar does not cause acne!" It is getting really old and very annoying. I don't care if sugar doesn't cause acne for you, but everyone's body is differnet, and for me, when I eat sugar, I break out more and get red in the face. So, if you could exclude your stupid comments, that'd be great. I heard from Chris Gibson's Acne Free in 3 Days that you should cut out sugar to clear up your skin. Did he mean literally ALL sugar? Like even honey, maple sugar, and cane juice? Or just refined and processed?
Skin Care Line For Acne + Anti-Aging? I'm searching for a new cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, etc. that targets both acne and anti-aging needs. I've tried the OLAY Total Effects, but was looking for something more natural or organic if possible. Any ideas??? Thanks!!! side note: I'm looking for one product that fights both acne and first signs of aging all in one. Thanks!!! Thanks for all the great answers so far!!!
What are natural ways to control hormones? I have been on the pill for six years- the same one (lo-ovral). I'm rather certain I'm becoming resistant to it having been on it so long: I'm starting to have the same menstrual problems I had before I went on it- heavy bleeding lasting 5+ days, tremendous cramps, total exhaustion, hot flashes, the works. But the thing that is bothering me the most is my skin. Mother of God! I had the usual teenage acne flare ups, but never anything like this. I currently have a patch of whiteheads under my ear, two on my chin, and FOUR of the deep, cystic type. I made an appointment to see my dermatologist but can't get in until late November, and can't get in to see my ob/gyn until January. In the meantime, is there anything I can do to get things kinda in balance naturally? I'm taking the best care I can for the acne topically, but I know it's only helping on the surface. Are there any supplements that might help control it and/or the other problems while I wait?
Face care regimne breaking me out please help? I am 18 and I am starting a anti age face care regime, it is by Wei East, and it has a face wash, toner, 2 face serums, and 2 eye things, It supposed to be all natural and ive just started 3 hours ago and I can already tell im breaking out. I really dont wanna stop my regimen, it was expensive, what can I do?! I know wash my face with a regular acne wash but that never works, what can i do?
Good skin care products for 13 year old? I am 13 years old and I am looking for good skin care products. I was wondering if you could suggest some that you may have tried that you think might work for me. My skin is oily in some spots but dry in others. And I get a lot of acne. I have tried a few different products but none so far have worked really good for me. They helped, but haven't completely worked for me. Also, it would help if the products were not really expensive and I do like natural products.
What are the best skin care products? moisturizer, toner, cleasner etc. Not really for acne but for moisturizing and wrinkle prevention. (im in my 20s) I prefer natural but will settle for chems if need be. also what are some other skin care tips? Cost is not a factor
How can I help my teenage daughter to take care of her skin? My 15 year old daughter has developed acne and we have tried many things to make it go away, but she is just getting worse! What natural solutions are out there that we could use to safely help her skin clear up? She drinks plenty of water and our food is relatively healthy. Thanks!
What is the best make-up for deep scars from acne? I don't care if it's a little pricey if it really works. I was trying Dermablend but is there something that is longer lasting and sweat proof? I also have some unsightly dep scars on my back and on my thigh. Is there a powder to use to help set it? Now, I'd rather use something light for my face. I DO Not want it to look caked on and as natural as possible. Is there a place I could set up an appt. (I live by Chicago) to be shown the proper way to put on make-up for problem skin? Thanks, girls!
Green Skin Care? Where, what skin care products can I buy that are organic/natural and acne-friendly... I'd just hate to put all of those chemicals on my face... I'm looking for ideas or products for facial cleansers, masks, and moisturizers especially. *t*h*a*n*k*s*
I am 27 years old, Iam getting crowsfeet, still have and have always had acne problems and also bloated? I have acne and wrinkles, I have bought products such as neutrogenas acne and wrinkle facial wash and anew eye solutions, I still notice the crows feet getting worse, are there any natural remedies to this? e.g; foods I could eat that would help with this, facial masks I could make myself? Also, my stomach is bloated. When I was 18 I had my left ovary removed as I had a 10lb tumor attached to it. Since then I have given birth to 2 children, anyhow, before I ever got pregnant I weighed 114lbs, after my 1st, I went down to 120lbs, which wasn't bad, right after my 2nd I was at like 131, now I am at 141, I don't understand how come I keep gaining weight. I eat a lot of vegetables and my job requires me to stay constantly physically active and I play with my kids a lot. Also, I have been feeling fatuged lately. Any particular good healthy foods or natural suggestions on how I could take care of any of my problems would be much appretiated. Also ache a lot and bad teeth.
A good skin care product? Well, it seems that nothing is working for my skin. I was using Neutrogena, but it didn't really get rid of the blemishes I had, and then I tried Clean & Clear but of course that didn't work. Now, I was using the Cocoa Butter Cleasing Bar, but I don't think its strong enough. I'm a black female, so I don't have the average skin. My skin is sensitive and it breaks out every now and then. I don't have bad acne, but I get occasional pimples. I also have blemishes that don't seem to go away. What do you suggest works? Any natural skin care products?

Normal or Natural? Does it matter? Okay, so I've been wondering...does it matter whether or not you use normal or natural makeup and facial care products? Does it make a difference in your skin years down the road, if you use all natural products? I know everyone will have different opinions, but I just want to see what people say. I use normal facial care products (face wash, acne treatment, lotions, etc), but I've been trying to decide lately if it's better to use all-natural stuff. I know the normal stuff has chemicals, but are they really harmful? What about shampoo? Does it make a difference or is it just one of those "save the planet" things?

These steps to getting rid of acne? I Here are quick and simple ways that we can care for our skin. 1. Nourish your skin by eating the proper foods. This means healthy and balanced diet. Healthy and balanced diet promotes our general well being and optimizes our body to function at its best. To have a healthy skin, eat plenty of seed food i.e. fruits that contain seeds, vegetables - organic vegetables are better as it contains additional nutrients 2. Drink plenty of water. The recommended eight glasses of water a day is essential in maintaining the skin’s elasticity and suppleness. Water also clears your skin and aids in the proper elimination of waste. Remember, less waste products in your body, more beautiful skin. 3. Exercise regularly. Exercise is good for our heart and body. Even our skin benefits with exercise by increasing blood circulation and thus bringing enough oxygen and nutrients to the rest of our body. Exercise also triggers the body to produce more sebum that is the body’s natural moisturiz IF I FOLOW THOSE STEPS DO YOU THINK THEY WILL HELp? WHAT IM ASKING IS, ARE THESE GOOD STEPS TO GETTING RID OF ACNE? THANKS.
Best skin care product for me? I am looking for something you can buy at walgreens or Ulta or something natural. I am 13 and I have sensitive, oily/ sometimes dry skin and lots of acne and large pores, what is the best thing for me? I have tried everything from Olay ,that new Clean and Clear stuff, Benzoyl Peroxide wipes, to Clearasil, and let's face it, I am either allergic to it or I barely see and results, can some one help me?
Does anybody know of an natural, but effective, way to get rid of blackheads ? i have horrible blackheads, ones that you can see, even if your not 3 inches away from my face ! its really ugly, and i know it sounds kind of vain, God gives you blackheads to make you realize you aren't the most beautiful person in the world, but they still bother me. I have minimal acne, mostly on my neck since i got my hair cut short, and i don't mind the zits so bad, but the blackheads really are bad, really. I would rather not use any store bought products, and i already use Mary-Kay products to wash my face twice a day, and i have taken very good care to wash my face and take care of it since i was 10 or 11. Thank you for any and all suggestions !

How do some get that flawless radiant complexion? Neat, presentable people have always gotten my attention. It's not the make-up, it's the natural glow and flawless complexion. It's not just in Hollywood, but simple people have similar gorgeous complexions too. How do they manage to look so good without eye bags and the normal acne etc; together with a natural radiance, while many of us take equally good care of our skin(s) and sstill go wrong? Could there be something we're doing wrong? And tips to leave your skin looking flawless, eyes sparkling and etc;? Or even, any websites to share?

What is your favorite Dr. Hauschka skin care product? I have started using the cleansing cream for about a month and already have cleared my complexion of some acne around my nose and flaky skin on my forehead. Because I have sensitive skin I decided to try Dr. Hauschka because of its natural ingredients. It has herbs that seem to react well with my skin: marigold, chamomile, St. John's wort and kidney vetch. I find it refreshing and am using it twice a day - lets hope it makes me look younger! Here is a link if you've never heard of this brand before: http://www.lilou-organics.com/Scripts/brands_drhauschka.asp - I have had a problem with blackheads but this is tightening my pores and I don't find I'm getting them as often. Would like to hear suggestions from other people on which products are worth it. Because organic is so expensive I'd rather hear it from another person if they think something is worth it before spending money on products especially when I'm buying it online - I can't find this brand in my local pharmac

I have sensitive skin and need help with acne? i am 13 years old and i have acne. i have really sensitive skin that is dry around my nose and on my cheeks, but is oily on my forehead, but i get zits every where i've tried so many things- proactive, clean and clear, cetaphil, garnier, noxema, st.ives apricot scrub, arbon, clearasil, and ive also tried using this benzoil peroxide stuff, but they all dry out my skin and dont work!!! its really embarrassing cause most of my friends havent started 2 get bad acne yet. my mom doesnt care and keeps sayin "it could be worse" so she wont take me to the dermatologist even though my brother goes regularly. i need somethin that will get rid of my zits, wont dry out my skin, preferably natural, and will work quick, im really impatient and want something that will work quick i also have blackheads on my nose that wont go away, ive tried many exfoliating products and homemade things with sugar, and those biore strips that you put on your nose please help me!!! i hate my face so much cause of my acne
Skin care products question??? I am looking for less harsh products....help! 10pts best answer.....? I currently use neutrogena, I have occassional acne, so I am using something with benzoyl peroxide/statylic acid....my skin doesn't necessarily get "dry/irratitated" from the products, but I am looking for a more "natural" product.....is St. Ives Apricot cleanser more natural than neutrogena cleansers, or are they about the same? I just don't want to continue using harsh chemicals on my face, I think they're bleaching my skin.....my skin is NOT red or anything, just kinda bleached looking....so anyway, please give me some suggestions, by the way, I like to get my skin care products at target, so please suggest something sold at target...
acne. yeaa one of those 1000 q`s.? as ery1 says, "I NOE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE ASKING THIS!". lolz. well yea, i have acne.. but it doesnt bother me a lot since i believe that if someone likes me, i want them to like me for who i am not for what i look like. i am pretty [but im not conceited] but i dont show it because who cares? anyways, i wanna noe if anyone noes NATURAL ways to get rid of acne. im gonna try sleepin properly, because i dont. and drinking plenty of water. besides that, is there any other ways? dont tell me to use proactiv.. because i hate the facial washes. i am only using st ives since its a general wash. i jus want natural ways. if natural ways dont work, i will go to proactiv and stuff like that.
acne scars? okkkkkk, so practically all my acne is gone now :D 3 years of having the Rocky Mountains on my face, but it's all good now cause its over. buuuuuuuut, i still have marks on my face. like they aren't scars, cause they're not red or anything. They're just dark patches on my skin. anyone know a special type of lotion or something that'll take care of that? like "restore the natural coloration of my face" or whatever? thanks... <3 dont say 6 months. that what my dad said,&i refuse to accept that something minor like this will take half a year to go.
Does anybody know of any bronzers that help clear up acne? I'm constantly on the loose looking for a bronzer that isn't orange, too dark, too fake looking, or too light. I've had no success. My face is also acne prone, so I'm afraid of breakouts. I found one online called "Fake Bake Bronzy Babe" and everyone seems to love it. Not sure if I should give it a try. Another thing I'm worried about is the aging of my skin. I'm fairly young, so I want to take care of my skin while I'm still young. So overall, what I'm looking for is a natural bronzer that will help with my acne, won't clog my pores, looks natural and possibly mineral so I don't get yucky wrinkles when I'm in my late 20's :) thanks!
Where can a find a website about "Naturella"? Also how effective is it? Naturella is an everyday skin care cream which has natural skin lighteners to remove dark spots e.g. from acne etc. It was recommended by the pharmacist but I am trying to acquire more information about this product. Any info would be much appreciated? Of course, I did a google search before asking this. The product on displayed on the website is a totally different product
Help with finding skin care that doesn't make me break out!? Since high school I have used a lot of different skin care products, usually the higher end like estee lauder, clinique, merle norman etc. I never could use grocery/drug store type because I would breakout. I use something for a few months with great success, and then all of a sudden it stops working. Or, I immediately break out or get dry skin. I have very sensitive skin, especially to vitamin C, so a lot of anti aging products bother me. I started using Neutrogena products a few months ago and I thought I had found the answer, but now my skin is becoming flaky and has slight red bumps, but not acne. My question is, where can I go to find the right skin care? I'm tired of trying samples at counters and buying products only to return them. Does anyone have a skin issue and have found a solution, or should I just head to the dermatologist? I've tried natural products and they don't seem to help either. What can I do?
how can i make my skin beautiful and fresh? I have a slight acne problem, its not terrible, but it is definitely noticeable. I could use some tips to take care of my skin and make my acne disappear, and I like the really natural look. Also what is a good makeup for oily skin and under eye circles (I'm only 19 so i don't want anything too expensive...like under $20)
What's The Next Step With my Acne? I'm 14 I had a few pimples here and there in 6th grade, had a few more spots of pimples in 7th grade, and now in 8th grade when I've started to pay attention to it and actually take care of my face daily its worse then ever. Why is that? I tried Proactiv during the summer when my acne wasnt as bad as it is right now and it worked okay. Then I tried Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, then Clearasil. And the last time is I used Clearasil was a month or two ago and thats when my acne started getting pretty bad. But now im trying the "natural remedies" like, putting your face over steam, cleaning your face with lemons, etc... And I eat healthy, I've stayed away from junk foods for a while now. I've been drinking at least 2 liters of water a day for the past 3 months, but my acne is showing no signs that it's getting better. One week its fine, the next week it comes back twice as hard. So what's the next step? And how should I wash my face daily? Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
Skin care - for face - NEED ADVICE?!!!? I have a lot of skin problems....starting with my face. 1) it's really oily and acne-prone. like BAD. 2) i HATE my complexion when I'm not wearing makeup. I look very washed-out and uneven skin-toned. The skin under my eyes is a little darker/redder than the rest of my face. I just want that "natural beauty" to come out!!!!! without the touch of concealer, or blush, or powder! I need advice on what to do for oily skin- Skin care: face wash/toner/moisturizer/foundation. & how you can give your skin a healthy glowing look without makeup?? I'd really like to be able to go out in public without ANY makeup one day!!! *Any advice would be great- Natural home remedies, products no matter what the price is...I'll pay whatever to look GOOD naturally. THANKS A BUNCH!!!!! I just bought some St. Ives apricot scrub for oily/acne prone skin - I've used it two times so far - and seems like my complexion is looking more even. But I don't know how it's going to work in the long run ---- is this scrub anything like the Bee Luscious line? has anyone used this? I've just heard from some people that they liked it... thanks everyone for your advice!!!
severe acne problem? When I was a teen, I had no acne whatsoever, but as soon as I hit 20 I broke out badly. I tried everything under the sun to get rid of it.. I tried benzoil peroxide and salysidic acid face washes and scrubs, clindamycine, perscriptions, clay masks, clearasil, proactive, free acne, microderm abrasions, and even toothpaste! When those didn't work, I tried natural rememdies like mixes of herbs, garlic, turmeric, milk, lime juice, cucumber, honey, hot sauce and all sorts of other things. I even tried olive oil because I was told that it was good for pulling out the oil on your face. How? I didn't care...I'm just desperate to try anything. Heck I'd even try salami slices if someone told me they were good for getting rid of acne. (I know they're not, but...) Is there something I'm missing? I have a good diet. I eat fruits and veggies, I avoid red meats and fatty foods, I drink tons of green tea, I eat plenty of foods with garlic and hotsauce, and I exercise regularly. What am I doing wrong?
Which is a better lush cleanser for acne? Herbalism or Fresh Farmacy? Or any other suggestions??? I have oily/combination skin and would usually have maybe 4spots at a time. I was using all natural products, until I tried the body shops' tea tree line, to get rid of all signs of spots. About a month afterwards I broke out terrible and my cheeks are covered in scars (I scar VERY Easily!!) and spots (but they're starting to calm down a bit) at the moment. I'm using a face wash with salicylic acid in it at the moment but my skin keeps peeling so I think it might be to strong as my skin doesn't normally peel... I'd like to go back to natural skin care and lush seems like a good brand but I can't figure out which cleanser I should get!! PLZ HELP!!!! p.s. Thinking about getting the tea tree water toner.
Facial Care? I know everyone is going to suggest a dermatologist but I decided to give it a shot anyway. Because I have acne (and tend to pick at it- I know I shouldn't, it's become almost a bad addiction :-( !) after the pimple begins to heel it becomes a red dot which are all over my face. I am really regretting my bad habit and am improving my diet, drinking more water, and using a regular skin care regimen. However, the red dots (and pimples) remain for weeks and I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations for products that have worked for them either on redness or the pimples themselves. I have sensitive skin so all-natural or homemade remedies would be great. Some products I have tried: Pro-Active Clearisal (benzoial peroxide cream) Acne-Free Clean and Clear Acne Clearing kit Also, I am not sure I want to use a prescribed medication yet, I would like to try these first, so please stray away fom suggesting one! I would really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question!

But, i have acne scars from previous acne and they're preeetyyy badd (around forehead and some on cheeks and chin)! I just want some good products that work over time and i see results. i would go to the dermatologist but the thing is i went and got an appointment and its after 1 MONTH, can you believe that? so, i'm looking for a good skin care routine that should be inexpensive and good. Acne skin Handmade soap is good for that? Yes, For acne skin the best antiaging soap is rainforest copaiba, use every day clean up the pores , Copaiba Oil is actually an oleoresin tapped from the Amazon rainforest Copaiba tree. This resinous oil is rich in beta-carophylene which promotes germ-free action and is an excellent anti-acne, skin-clearing agent. The resin is extracted from the trunk of the Copaiba tree through small holes that close naturally with time.To the natives of the Amazon, the Copaiba tree offers many natural health properties which have been utilized for years While soap in an essential for cleanliness and good health, it is not always recommended for facial care. Am I having an allergic reaction to my new acne medicine? I just started using Clinique skin care because I heard many things about how gentle it is. I've never had any problems with acne medicine before, but the old one I had wasn't working very well anymore so I decided to switch. The clinique seems to be working very well - the acne on my neck has gone down noticably in the week since I started it, but directly after applying it my neck gets very red and itchy. It goes away after a few hours, but it's so distracting I've stopped the night treatment because it was keeping me from getting to sleep. Is this an allergic reaction? Or is it a natural reaction to the medicine? I've never had an allergy before, and the red itchiness goes away on its own. Plus, the treatment is working really well and I don't want to the acne to come back. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Is Japanese Skin Care Good? I was wondering if Japanese skin care products would work well for me (I am Caucasian). I noticed that many have whitening ingredients, are these safe? There are two brands I have been researching; Kose and Regene. Are these any good? I tend to get occasional acne in my T-zone, I have an annoying issue with blackheads (ick) around my nose, and my cheeks can sometimes get red and blotchy. It seems like I qualify for every skin type so I'm not sure what to get! If I get stuff that's specifically for Acne my face drys out and gets even redder (it tends to be sensitive), and other products make me breakout! It's a vicious cycle! Overall however, I have pretty decent skin, it's very fair and soft. Will the whitening help with the redness? I'm looking for products that have natural ingredients, are safe, have UV protection (I'm very anti-sun and anti-tan) and will hopefully help me get one step closer to having the flawless skin that Japanese women seem to be blessed with! =]

Skin Care = )? What are some Super Fun face masques, skin treatments, and even natural remedies to prevent acne breakouts? (Don't suggest store bought... eww)

Witch Hazel skin care questions? I just got a bottle of Dickinson's Witch Hazel. Regular acne products haven't been working for me, so I thought I'd try the natural route. Has anyone used witch hazel? Did it work for you? Also, under in ingredients, it reads: All Natural Witch Hazel, containing Natural Alcohol 14% and Witch Hazel Extract. Is that biodegradable? Thank you! =)
Has anyone tried emu and or manuka oil for acne and acne spots/scars? I have been breaking out continuously for over a year now. This is despite taking really good care of my skin and using very good dermalogical grade products for my skin. I know this is all from the inside...hormonal and stress, but I can't take it anymore, as I am starting to scar a bit. I went for a series of peels (3 PDT's) and it has helped with some of the marks on my face. Now I am looking for something that will help keep my skin clear, but is organic/natural. I've lately become really concerned of all the chemicals in skincare products. I heard that we are better off actually ingesting these chemicals ratehr than applying them topically because at least by ingesting them, our stomachs can produce enzymes to help break them down, as oppose to putting them on our skin where they will go directly into our blood stream. Anyway, I have heard great things about both emu oil and manuka oil. Can anyone tell me about their experiences with them? Can I mix the two together to apply?
Skin care problems...HELP!!? I used to have bad acne. When I would get a new pimple I would pop it when I had the chance. Now I have big holes in my skin and ugly scars. I also have oily nose. I need a product if possible natural, to help me with my problem.
what can i do to get rid of my acne? i wash my face every day/night with aveeno, then i moisturize my face with vaseline intensive care which has spf 15. i've been doing this for like, 2 months now, and i still get pimples! i drink lots of water, too, but nothin seems to help. i've tried proactive, neutrogena, clean and clear, clearisil- everything! the products with chemicals seem to burn and dry out my skin. i'm tired of this. can you please give me skin regimes that have worked for you? also natural products that can be used? thanxs
My daughter is 6 and on steroids, which are giving her acne...? is there anything that would be appropriate for her skin to help keep it clear? I don't want to use any of the harsh stuff on her, just wondering about gentle/natural cleansers. And just to stop the ignorant answers I was getting from people insinuating I am abusing my child, she is on steroids for a medical condition, no it is not illegal to use steroids if they have been prescribed, and putting a child on steroids is not wrong if her condition merits it- you'd rather I deny her medical care?
