If an acne cream is labeled Skin Tone, is that ethnically incorrect? I saw an acne medication labeled Skin Tone, and the color is a light pinkish color - intended for Caucasian people. So, what about people who aren't Caucasian, such as African Americans and East Indians - would people of those ethnicities be offended seeing an acne cream labeled Skin Tone when the color is clearly not intended for their darker skin color?

I've tried a few mousturisors but they're not helping. Is there any other way, preferably without having to buy anything especially?
Burned skin from acne cream. Fastest way to heal skin? I used an acne cream prescribed by my dermatologist. I have really sensitive skin and should have known better. It left my skin almost "burned." It is very red, dry, irritated and sore. I have been using Aveeno Daily Calming (with chamomile and feverfew) but it has not helped. I am allergic to neosporin. I can't call my doctor because it is Sunday. Any advice? What is the fastest way to heal the irritated skin? Thanks! Thanks for the advice. Quesiton: what will the cold compress do?
acne cream has made skin very dry, and acne is getting worse..what to do? ive tried numerous different products to treat acne, and each of them have helped the acne itself, but made my skin red and itchy and irritated. my face feels horrible now cause its so dry, and i stopped using the cream to let the dryness subside a bit, but ever since i stopped, my acne is getting worse again, even with my insanely dry skin. its been like this for a while now...like an endless cycle. does anyone have any recommendations? thanks.
How do I apply this acne cream on my skin? I was prescribed "Tretinoin" 0.025% It says "Apply to the effected area before bedtime" When it says "effected" does it mean the whole face, or just the zits? Also, when I apply it, do I leave the cream to a visible "WHITE" color or keep on rubbing until the white is gone? Also, can I use any other acne treatments, like clearsil daily wash? Something that just washes my face in the morning, then I use it at night then I apply the cream.

Acne cream for sensitive skin? I have mild acne and sensitive skin. So far after using Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (Used twice daily) and St Ives Apricot Scrub for sensitive skin (Used only once every three days), my skin has become smoother and no more dry and flaky. What are some good skin creams that are for sensitive skin with acne? Hi, i previously tried ProActiv but its way too harsh for my skin and dries it out, and im wondering if there is anything that you can get (cream, spot treatments, etc.) that you can get without a prescription that work just as well as proactiv, but something that dosent dry out your skin, or nothing really expensive. thanks!
Night cream for dry skin with acne? Hey there. I need something to help to stall the aging process (within reason, I dont expect miracles) that isn't going to make me break out like a leper. Anyone have any luck with a product like that? Shoot, anyone have any luck just with a night cream of ANY sort that doesnt make you break out - because my skin tends to be dry from acne treatments. Lemme know if you know of any Thanks a bunch

Dry skin due to prescription acne cream? I have been prescribed: Tretinoin Cream USP 0.05%, and Clindamycin 1% Gel 30 GM, for acne. Both of these eliminate acne almost perfectly for me, the only problem is they dry my skin out to the poin where it stings, and peels. I have tried Aveeno Active Naturals-Daily Moisturizing Lotion for my dry skin problems, but it has not worked. Usually it works that i put the prescribed acne products on for one day or a few hours at a time, and then my skin will peel for about 4 days, even with lotion on 24/7. Any suggestions on how to follow the directions on the prescriptions "Apply to Face Once Daily", and not have to worry about horribly dry skin?
skin irritation due to acne cream, what can i do to soothe it? My dermatologist gave me an acne cream which ive only used twice but my skin has gone really red, dry and sore. Do you have any ideas what I can do to reduce the redness and make it less dry as at the moment I cant even put make up over it because its too dry.. I don't want to use moisturiser on it as putting creams on it makes it sore and I'm scared it will further irritate it. I can't call my dermotologist as its 2 in the morning.. Thank you
Good cold cream for acne prone skin? I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good cold cream for someone with bad skin. My face breaks out at the drop of a hat so I need something that won't irritate it even worse. I'd really appreciate it.
Dry skin and redness due to Quinoderm acne cream? I tried Quinoderm 5 and it did nothing for my acne. now I'm using normal Quinoderm and after a few days use my acne is clearing up but my skin is very dry and red. How can I get rid of this?Moisturiser? What type of moisturiser?
Is Covergirl's Advanced Radiance cream foundation good for acne-prone skin? i've been using Maybelline clear smooth gel foundation for several years now because it doesn't cause my skin to break out, and it's really great. However, the coverage for blemishes is only minimal. i've recently bought a bottle of Revlon ColorStay, and it resulted in pimples over my cheeks. i've checked out CG's Advanced Radiance foundation at a local mall, and it looks promising. but i gotta know if it works well with most girls, especially those with acne prone skin before i buy it.
What is the best moisturizing cream for dry, sensitive skin? I've tried most of the moisturizers out there, but none seem to work. When my skin becomes dry, it tends to be flaky. Also, if I find greasy moisturizers, my skin tends to break out, and then I have to use acne cream which makes my skin even drier and more sensitive.
Can you please answer these 5 questions on acne and skin? 1.) Why is it bad to dry out your skin? Aren't you supposed to if you have acne to clear it up? 2.) Can you get acne from washing your face too much? 3.) Is your face naturally supposed to be a little oily, or does that mean it is clogging your pores and causing acne? 4.) I know Benzoyl Peroxide dries up your acne, but what does medicated or prescribed acne cream from the doctor do? 5.) Are there different types of acne, like blackheads, or is blackheads another way of saying acne?
skin burnt after using an acne cream? advice please!? I used and acne cream on my face and now my skin has gone red, raw, sore, tight, i think its because its actually burnt. i guess it was too strong or i put too much on... i stopped using it but my skins getting worse!...its really bad now... ive tried using baby rash creme, putting camomile tea on it, moisturisers etc but everything just seems to irritate it further. i used rose water to clean it now and i left it. should i just leave it alone or put some vaseline on it? how long do you think it will take to go away? thank you!
Ponds Cold Cream for combination, acne-prone skin? I was told by an esthetician friend that I should try Ponds Cold Cream to help even out my "extreme" combination skin (very dry cheeks and very oily, shiny and acne-prone t-zone). I've been using the new MediBac line for adult acne by Dermalogica, it's been alright for the acne but it makes my cheeks so dry that it flakes! It's also $40 for the kit, so if a $4 product MIGHT help, I'll gladly try it. But before I do, if anyone here has had any experience with it, please share! I wouldn't want to try it only to get a face full of zits :). Thanks! I've been using the Dermalogica kit for about a week and a half now, like I said it's clearing up my acne, but I'm getting light flaking on my cheeks. Before that I washed my face twice a day with "Purity Made Simple" by Philosophy, and followed by a light Aveeno moisturizer. Did that for about a year and while I constantly had small acne problems on my t-zones, it kept the rest of my face in pretty good shape. I was ready to try something new, so I gave the Dermalogica kit a try.
is it bad for your skin if you use two different acne treatment creams? I used ProActiv for a while but my dermatologist prescribed me a different acne washing cream. But since I still have a lot of ProActiv left over, I've been using ProActiv to wash my face in the morning and the dermatologist's one to wash my face at night. Is that damaging for my skin? Will it only make acne worse?
when do you use a moisturizer when you are using an acne cream and your skin gets too dry? i do realize that since i'm using excessive acne medication i need a moisturizer, but i dont know when to put on a moisturizer, i use the acne medication 8 hours in the day, and then take a shower, and wear nothing for 2-4 hours, and then as i head to bed, put on the acne medication until morning wash it off, and reapply... anyways, if i do put on moisturizer, do i put it on when im wearing nothing on my face? do i have to put it on daily? and im just wondering, but it is alright to cover my face with the moisturizer and acne medication at the same time?

What acne cream(s)/kits should I use to clear my skin most effectively and most quickly? I've had a couple of pimples since 6th grade, but nothing too harsh. It usually went away within a couple of days. Since then I've been almost clear until this past summer where I started experiencing blemishes on my cheeks (and side of my face). Now I've tried using Clean and Clear products for almost a month now (not the kit) and it worked for a while but now it stopped showing any progress. I also have used differin but it did the same thing and the benzoyl peroxide wash 10% (Rx) did the same thing as well. I need a formula which will fight pimples and one which will not give up half way.
